Chris Brown arrested and sentenced for domestic violence

yeah I agree it would be easier for her to seperate from him than it would be for an average woman in an abusive relationship. Some women have kids to worry about or they don't have a job, or no where to go. But she can get and stay easily away from him

Hiding while boarding a plane with Chris..

WHY hide, if you want to be with him, why hide, is she ashamed, I found her annoying...I could care less what she and Chris do at this point, Iam not a HUGE fan of either music...so

Rihanna has coat over her head, Chris ain't ducking

Driving to the airport..

Exactly, why is she hiding? If she loves him so much then why not flaunt it? She shouldn't be concerned about what her fans think now, she made her choice, her career will forever be tied to this moment. He seems perfectly smug...

And I know people are calling them kids but I am the same age as Rihanna, and trust...21 yr. olds have brains that work normally.

I really think her career is over now or at least on its way to be O V E R. She should ask whitney houston if it helped her career being with Bobby Brown!

I don't see violence as a feminist issue. Where I come from I've seen
MANY violent women (my mother included) who are violent to other women AND men. I think society itself has grown tolerant violence. We glorify it movies and music.

"Over the past 25 years, leading sociologists have repeatedly found that men and women commit domestic violence at similar rates. http://www.ncfmla.org/dv_data.html

I think it's dangerous for any group to make this "their" issue. Everybody need to come together and make all forms of violence taboo whether it be domestic, child abuse, drive by shootings, homicide, gang violence, etc. When one form of violence becomes tolerated or ignored it hurts us all.
We need a ZERO tolerence policy on violence.

Regarding Chris brown, he NEEDS to be prison:judge:. This is unacceptable and sends a bad message to both of their fan bases. Chris witnessing abuse is NO Excuse. All my life I witnesed my mother abuse my father and I was a victim of child abuse, however, does NOT give me any exuse to beat up on people. I HATE it when people who have been abused use that as an exuse or get sympathy for their own abusive actions:furious::angry::censored: My mother tried that same load of crap. He needs help, no doubt, but first he needs to be punished. Oh, and won't it be fantastic if they make a hit song together out of this ordeal:rolleyes: :yuk:

Hmm, I agree, I don't think it's simply a feminist issue.

I for one am really curious what Oprah has to say on this matter. I hope it's something poignant, tasteless and something that cuts Chris really hard, all delivered while channeling her inner pissed southern grandma.

The way this whole thing is transpiring really makes me feel it's much more about more about money and Chris's album sales than anything else. Whilst my sympathies are with Rihanna, they both seem a little disingenous to me.

^
true, money usually is behind everything...without meaning to sound faux profound

It wouldn't surprise me much of her bosses decided his ability to make them money was too important and told her to take him back to encourage people to keep buying his music. It's not just a money loss to himself but to the people behind him who design his image. Just my cynical hypothesis. :(

I'm sorry that Rhianna could not have been a better role model for all bruised and battered young girls with abusive boyfriends. She could have turned a personal tragedy to raise awareness on domestic violence. Young girls in abusive relationship really do not have anyone to turn to when someone like Rhianna took the road so well travelled in Hollywood.

With that said, because of her action, this incident is dead to me and I am no longer interested in following it.

Oprah said on one of her friday roundtable shows, that Rihanna just be friends with Chris and not date him because it wouldn't look good.

I agree too. I'm not cynical, just being a realist.

THIS IS DISGUSTING. I am disgusted by the powers who are in control of this madness. That man laid his hand's on a WOMAN, only for her to take him back? DISGUSTING!

From radaronline.com:

Rihanna's blood was found in Chris Brown's car after their brutal fight, and RadarOnline.com has obtained exclusive photos of the car's interior. The must-see photos of Brown's leased Lamborghini were taken after police had collected evidence from the crime scene. They show Rihanna's blood near the handbrake, a shocking sight that more than hints at how violent the struggle was.
In RadarOnline.com's exclusive photo gallery you can see broken plastic most likely snapped off the car during the struggle, blood smears, and fingerprints on the center console indicating that Rihanna resisted being pulled toward the driver's side.
  • Picture 1: The cigarette lighter is missing, possibly knocked loose during the violent struggle. Also note the Juicy Fruit gum wrappers in the ashtray. Chris Brown sings on Juicy Fruit TV commercials, but Wrigley’s suspended the ads after the beating.
  • Picture 2: Closeup of a small pool of dried blood next to Rihanna’s seat.
  • Picture 3: The cigarette lighter is missing, possibly knocked loose during the violent struggle. Also note the Juicy Fruit gum wrappers in the ashtray. Chris Brown sings on Juicy Fruit TV commercials, but Wrigley’s suspended the ads after the beating.
  • Picture 4: Police used “latent print tape” to lift fingerprints from the information monitor in the center of the dash. The angle of the print, top left to bottom right, indicates an attempt by Rihanna to try to push away from her attacker . A piece of plastic lays on the passenger-side floor, broken off during the struggle.
  • Picture 5: The alleged beating took place in Chris Brown’s expensive leased Lamborghini sports car.
  • Picture 6: Police dusted the area around the outside door handles for fingerprints.
  • Picture 7: Droplets of Rihanna’s blood are spattered on the inside of the car. There are blood smears around the hand brake, revealing that she was leaning toward or being pulled toward the driver’s side while bleeding.

 could not have put the words together any better

how sad and weak of her

^It's not that easy to get out of an abusive relationship, especially when there is emotional/verbal abuse and manipulation involved. So, saying she's stupid or weak, it's a bit.. don't know what's the word.. Some people are quick to condemn people and events, I guess.
Furthermore, judging from the latest pictures and info, it looks like she didn't get enough decent support from her family, friends and peers. Almost noone has sided with her so far, most of them are being diplomatic about the whole incident and trying to pass it on as a "mistake". Prayers won't help either.

her career is going to be less now, most females are disgusted with her either for 1) going back to chris brown or 2) exposing chris brown as a violent person. either way i have lots of sympathy for her; shes young, domestic violence is not an easy cycle to break out of:(

That CoverGirl contract may be on shaky ground too...she's ruining her brand. Hopefully she wises up, I can't imagine Jay-Z being happy about this. He has to find a way to market her now.

Maybe she should look up to Whitney Houston for some inspiration when thinking of titles for her next single.............. :innocent:

-Hold on, Help is on the way
-It's not right but it's okay
-Love will save the day
-Why does it hurt so bad
-You're still my man
-I will always love you :ninja:
This is like the CD version of the cycle of violence.
