Finally got over the excitement to see the first post. Quite a part of the daywear look awful with couture elements. The footwear is hideous. And the direction is just wrong. This is way too sophisticated for modern readytowear . I think an ideal Dior rtw collection should be what Dior Fall 02 or Fall 05 was like. Whatever, i still prefer a flamboyant Dior over restricted.

wow, this is phenomenal! Dramatic yet wearable. The colors are great. It reminds me of HC collections from the 1990's, which is kind of cool.

I don't get the excitement either...

If this is Galliano when he makes Dior "sophisticated", I don't like it. I think he is going to the right direction with the shapes, but that's where it ends. The colours are tacky, the material looks awful... It does not look sophisticated at all to me. I guess I will never like Galliano.

Pretty collection overall but I do agree about some of those tacky colors...those fuscia numbers remind me of a Barbie doll I had circa 1990.

aside from MAYBE the blue platform ankle boots, i dont find this enjoyable at all. the colors are very garish and remind me of cheap prom dresses. i definitley prefer the days when galliano sent tribal warrior princesses and homeless women down the runway in bikinis and headdresses. thats the dior i love.

I was hoping for "p*rn Kittens" in "Queen Mums", but this is good too! I think it could have benefited from a better color palette. I hope the music is good for this show!

The suiting and the more tailored pieces are very nice, exciting on their own merit.

It's WAY!!! better than the sickly looking S/S 07 collection. I mean, it'd make way more sense if this was the S/S 07, which those vivid colors. The washed out pastells from S/S 07 would be better as F/W 07.

The shoes look a bit mad, but I think in retail they will translate to more wearable version and the colors will definitly get toned down for everyday wear.

at first i was somewhat dismayed because the first few images were so closely related to couture, but seeing more i love that he has taken the couture and expanded it and its not just a copy of it. it love love love this collection

I understand why people don't like it, but to say that it's hideous and the worst ever...that's kinda misinformed

Anyway, I love this! I think that some stuff looks too much like couture, in a bad way (even though those look really good too) BUT it is a very beautiful collection...the collection is at it's best in the daywear where the references to couture are mear references instead of complete copies. The colour palette is perhaps a bit too diverse, though. The bags and shoes look WONDERFUL...the shoes are really amazing! And the venue's great too! I love it!
