Christian Dior S/S 08 Paris

Nice dresses but somehow Galliano doesn't surprise me as much as McQueen. Hope his own line would be better!

these two big things on the scene looks like two big penis's

Wow hqs so fast!!!Thank you:flower: The red gown on Morgane is perfection:heart:, I agree that there is a bit of the Dior magic missing but overall its still a really beautifully done collection, Im not dissapointed!

I really like it. I was never fan of Dior, cause Galliano did not really wearable pieces. But i like this a lot. Very soft, glamorous ans sexy in a very stylish way. Not trashy at all. Very pretty collection.

not wearable??:blink: all Galliano's clothes are wearable, at least for me

I think he is softening his look just a tad. I mean how do you top his fall show?

I like all the collection. I love the 20's influence and I am a wh*re for animal prints, even if they make me look like a prostitute.

And the accessories are major (as Victoria Beckham would say)

Thanks Faith for these photos.
It's not so bad anymore, but it's just not anything new. It's still too Valentino for me.

it's worse!!! it looks ARMANIish!!!! so armani!:ninja::ninja::ninja::yuk::yuk::yuk:

i want ss06 back... it washn logo-maniac but it's not pretending to be "classy" as Mr. Toledano said it would be.... this new direction is terrible!!

(most cuts are very very very galliano, specially the dresses... which is always good)

i think he's responded well to the pressures of the suits and produced a wearable collection for the market that gives them a viable, beautiful option over what's produced in new york, often for the same clientelle. i could totally imagine a grown woman with a career and a family, who is maybe not a socialite, who isn't in the gossip columns but is still a part of her community or hive or whatever feeling comfortable with these options. no more trashy girls strung out on some boat in ibiza...

So...I come back from school to see the first show I look forward to every season...and this is what I get.....

It's like he mixed up Fall 2004, Spring 2004, and Fall 2005, added a gallon of Valentino and a pint of Armani, and came up with this. It's pretty, but it just doesn't cut it this time. And those spiky dildos just make it so much worse. Thanks a lot John, thanks a lot......

you know what?

me too.

logo-mania aside, to me, it was the spirit of galliano. the craziness, the insanity, the colours, the cadillac car crash bags, miss diorella beauty pageant sashes, the gambler, the neon leopard coats with the big huge massive fur.

god i miss those days.. and yes, the high energy on the mirrored catwalk.

this new direction by toledano is insane. have you seen the new fall 07 samurai bags at $4,500 a pop? dior. is. not. hermes.

good luck to toledano and co.

Me too...

A lot of people thought those shows were tacky and trashy, but I loved them! They were glamorous and were super high energy! And they were FUN!!! This show is beautiful (I'm practically salivating over that gorgeous dress on Tayna), but it doesn't look fun!

INDEED!

remember how john got so much flak from this collection?

yet everyone now is praising gareth pugh as the next big thing when most of his first collecton knocked off dior
