Continues Family of Brands-Carpe Diem, Linea, etc...

hmm, I dont think it is... but it's close. I just went to the Juicy website and saw their flash animation. It looks like the leather shirt is being worn by a model standing in the background as the screen scrolls to the left. It doesn't look like a hoodie...

Hard to tell in regards to the cut, but $895... not bad comparatively!

It would be a serious shame if A stopped carrying Carpe. It just wouldn't be the same!

Yes the Linea jacket is STUNNING. The leather version is extremely stiff though and unlined as far as I know. Atelier had a version that even had the signature "digital stitchwork" along the back seam that was just plain crazy!

but.. for about $4k, one would expect nothing less!

Congratulations on the house purchase by the way. A roof over ones head is better than an extra coat in the closet

yeah.. I thought JC for 895 and similar is not so bad and good subsitute.

I agree that having a house is better then extra coat in the closet.. but yes I am feeling the pain to pour every single cent into my mortgage with very little left over. but sick of renting and moving around.. heard that you are moving to Germany.. country to country move is always a pain.. but I that Germany has good Cdiem collection.

I was in London not long ago and I went to the library.. it was so so.. they mostly have Linea stuff and nothing impressive as leather.. although I must say their CCP collection is just OUTSTANDING... so many CCP leather jacket in one place.. amazing.. better than Atelier's collection in my opinion and also Maxfield.

oooh, i really need to visit the Library. probably will in the spring since I'll just be a short flight away.

I'm moving to Berlin for about 4-5 months. Just some time before medical school to explore and spend with my girlfriend.

Yeah Germany has two crazy stores for Carpe including one right in Berlin that carries the full line and seems to have the capability for Anatomica/Sartoria (Harveys Berlin).

Runner, can you comment/confirm this?

anatomic was originally only at X18.
I don't think they did the project called sartoria outdoor at any place in Germany but KH.
and it seems that they don't have any plan to do it again.
so no one has the capability for sartoria/anatomica at the moment unfortunately.
(I mean sartoria/anatomica in the strict sense. you might find exceptional items like bags or some samples here and there)

wishing you a great time in Berlin, Chinor1z

albert.. love to hear all your report on Cdiem when you get to Germany..

Is Library a boutique? where is it?

Hmm, I see.

Runner, do you happen to have a more precise address for the Carpe showroom in Paris?
I plan on going to try to find it when I am in Europe but "X18" is a difficult address to use especially since I am not familiar with Paris!

Thanks for your help!

I am in contact with a man who used to work on projects with Mauritzio so maybe I can work something out in terms of getting something custom made

Thanks again for your wealth of information Runner!!!

I heard X18 had not been functioning as it should.
maybe it's being unavailable now.
but there is a possibility as well that it is revived all of a sudden (as always).
in that case collete is the one who shows you there.
sorry

I think they take exclusive orders here and there even during this calm.
but just bespoke/custom-made thing was not what they really tried to do in sartoria/anatomic project.
the true aim was grope for a new way in which the wearer takes part in the process the material was changed into garment.
it was an experimental system you'd have produced your own "one piece", something like ooparts, along with Amadei etc.
so, without all those factors/spirits, something custom made under present conditions could be just a replica of sartoria one piece.
it might be best to wait for them to make another thorough preparation.
just my two cents of course

ah Colette! Thanks again Runner.

The thing is, I probably won't be in Europe for a very long time (and probably not stay there long enough for multiple X18 visits) after this spring/summer so this may be my only chance to have something made.

I was told that the showroom would likely become active again in March, but I need to confirm this.

To create pieces where one works along side Maurizio would just be amazing. Not only to own a custom made piece, but the overall experience of the process would be more than memorable!

Runner, do you think any of the stores (Colette, KH, Harveys Berlin) will carry this Linea leather jacket?

I don't know
though canapa version of the jacket may be easier to find because it should have been produced more.

Maurizio's this project brought about lots of spin-off products/labels in the past 10 years.
but from them I haven't got any catharsis such as it sometimes gave to me.
they only looked like it.
I confess I once felt it slightly reached somewhere beyond mere fashion.
but maybe in the end Maurizio was too "nagual" to do a brand that had to present collections regularly.
I don't know
just hope it never runs dry.

the garage is not X18 any longer.
apparently they just sold it.
so they had to use a suite at the hotel to present something new which is being called "intervallo" at present
instead of "avanti e dietro".
someone who had been there said he didn't know how he should regard it and that he was at a loss as it was a too far cry from the status quo of the fashion industry.
the other one said it's a stunner.
I don't know
but both of them said the same old Maurizio had been there.

it's nice to see M.Altieri back. looking forward to see his new works.

That sounds great! I did hear that the new CDiem collection was shipping April/May!

maybe a few items (mainly footwear) to prologue the collection as conceptually cohesive in that delivery which was supposed to come this spring but still uncertain.
what they presented earlier this month will arrive much later.
