Continues Family of Brands-Carpe Diem, Linea, etc...

Softgrey, maybe we could rename this thread to Continues?

Because Carpe Diem, Linea, etc are all within the continues family of brands, that way we can discuss all Maurizio stuff freely here.

Raijin - I think you an get most of those labels in L'eclaireur in the Marais in paris. I am sure you'd like it. Can't remember the street name but its just off the Rue des Rosiers.
Yes, that's where I bought my first CCP... and the most hideous pair of Miu Miu purple and brown snake and leather shoes available that season (so naturally, I snapped them up! ;))

Good question. I believe I'm size 2-3 in carpe diem. Should be equivalent of a Small/Medium. Thanks!

I forgot to respond to this. It seems liked most of what they had was size 3-4. It still seemed really damn small. And I think the markdown was @30% right now, but I'm not positive. Maybe more. It still isn't cheap, they did have a good selection of trousers though, and a few of the heavily wrinkled leather jackets.

I can't believe that I've been to paris twice, and I haven't been to that store!!! Raijin, they also stock Ann Dem, so you should be OK there.

P.S. Johnny, I think the next label to check out for you is Carol Christian Poell :flower:

As long as he doesn't compete for sizes with the rest of us!!! ;)

edit: Of course, on second thought - anything to keep CCP manufacturing. Go for it!

Exactly.

Johnny is in Scotland, so we are safe here :p

A few Carpe Diem S/S 05 photos.

That's the sweatshirt I tried on in Harvey Nics last week. It is nice, but it's £300!! Also, it's really really small. I saw, raijin, that you said that the linea sizing was even smaller - I don't understand this! I am a 38 chest, size medium in every other label, but this was skin tight.

Thanks for the pics by the way.

 . I don't think they sell CCP in Scotland. I'll have a look in Leclaireur though when I'm in Paris at end of Feb.

<<<< Jealous

Raijin, I wish I knew you before! I found a top like that (only purple) for $65 at a discount store  . Sadly it did not fit me (size 1), but I would've gladly given it to you.

Love the shoe - I can't tell for sure about the toe shape, but it looks like the same material Margiela and a few others have been using recently, but in a more refined last. Destination has a Japanese men's brand (I think it's Kashura? sp) of shoes currently on sale at half off their original $350, with a similar last and a similar cap toe style, but with different sole construction.

I wonder how much those shoes will retail for?

Actually, I believe that C diem is the only one to use this material.
It looks like thier typical glazed horse-hide to me.
