The only thing I find weird, personally, is how the front of their shoes always points high up. Is it something that goes away once you start wearing the footwear? I was just never a fan of this look...

THat's my problem with the shoes. Whenever I've seen tham, frankly, I've thought they look daft because of the big curled toe.

i think it's a very specific shoe...
i love it with the banana pant or the pijama pant...

i think it looks great with a wide drapey leg...a bit too long...and then the toe poking out...yum...

^_^

Your reminding me how much I want those bannanas

I guess since they do them every season I'll have many opportunities to get them however.

loove the bananas...!!!... :buzz:
hey...i wonder how they'd look on a girl... :innocent:

NO...bad softgrey ...bad...you have too much stuff already...you just bought the cdg jersey pants...stop it..!!!

*slaps herself on the wrist... :ninja:

Try them on next time your at A!

I think they would look nice with some of your CDG pieces :flower:

oh dear...i went to A again today with faust...

ooooh.....the carpe diem stuff is just so wonderful...it's just so raw and real and it has this energy that speaks to me in a way that is hard to describe...but the textures and the cuts and the fabrics are just uuuuhhhh...

there are no words...it's just a deep deep feeling...it's visceral...i got very emotional while i was looking at them...it was very deep...

i can't really explain it...but it's still with me...it's both strong and fragile at the same time...vulnerable and protected simultaneously...very quiet but full of emotion...
there's a tragic quality to these clothes i think...all battered and worn with the edges raw...very dramatic in the subtlest of ways...you could live a lifetime in these clothes...

there..i had to get that off my chest...i was going to explode...*let's out deep breath*... -_-

i have to come up to NYC to see these pieces... now if i could only afford them. what are the price points anyway?

600 - 1200 for collared shirts, starts at 400 for tees.
Pants are 900 all the way to astronomical prices.

these pieces will defintely last with you through your life however.

In japan it goes on sale at certain stores, so there are deals to be had sometimes.
You could probably work out a mail-order if you wanted something enough.

I have to say its really worth every cent.

If someone pays $600 for some dior dress pants that will fall apart in the year, why not 300 more for something truly beautiful and timeless?

Maybe I should not inspire people to become a fanatic like myself however..

well if it can do this it certainly is worth more than dior homme!

i think i'll have to see it to believe it, i don't know if i'll ever be able to bring myself to spend that much on one piece... but if its really going to be timeless i think it'd be worth it. but i'd be breaking my don't buy anything that's not on sale rule.

i don't think they speak to everyone the same way though...

it's a very personal experience...they either speak to you or they don't...

This is an intersting point raijin, but I think it's ultimately a fallacious argument. I have trousers that I bought from high street shops 10 years ago that haven't fallen apart. You don't need to spend $1200 on trousers before they're well made. You could get a pair of saville row bespoke suit trousers for less than that.

Softie I absolutely agree. I've seen them three years running in Paris, not knowing anything about them, and never found them remarkable. I remember thinking that some of the long leather coats looked nice, but that's about it.
I did not find the sweatshirt I tried on in London poetic or timeless or fragile but beautiful etc, it was just a nice sweatshirt. And it was so tight that there's no way that I could wear it for ever (unless I seriously step up and stick to my training regime over the next 40 years or so!).

Just my own view:flower:
