^^^ Yes-- decent studio shoot. I don't even mind Kris here, since the cast is not the typical top girls of the moment syndrome that bores me senseless. I only despise the shameless bag-pimping. Bags are not high fashion to me, and this transparent push to always include bags in edits-- even when they don't belong, particularly in such a blatant manner here is just obnoxious and begging to appeal to their bluechip advertisers.
You know what is that turns me off about CR Fashion Book? I've noticed that from its inception, that the production-- the concepts, are usually just a few revisions from decent to strong. Had they taken that extra effort, that bit of time, I think the edits would really shine, along with Carine's talent as a stylist and editor. She's relying way too much on her name, her brand-- and her past glories, to helm this "fashion book", but the results are half-baked. It's like Mullet's point about so many in the industry creating and living in this bubble with an absolute disregard to be inclusive of others: Carine seems to be continuing her career as if it's 2000 when she ruled the industry.
Playing dressup with her celebrity-friends doesn't interest me, like she's doing here with CR. She needs to work hard again in creating interesting high fashion statements like she did when she had French Vogue. And she needs a strong creative/ art director to pull it all together.
