soooo unrelated, but I clicked on this cuzz I thought you were talking about the band, The Culottes. I love them. I approached the creator, Iris Porter, via email cuzz I am a stark raving MAD MAD MAD fan & asked if she would let me sell their CDs from my shop. I still can't believe she said yes. you can flog me for posting a link to my site, but just listen to em first. I think at least some of you will fall as hard as I did. mm...i think the culottes is actually a VERY cool name for a band...so i very curiously listened to the mp3...sea green sounded promising...

however...i cannot share your enthusiasm for the music...i found it rather monotonous at best ... too bad...i was hoping for something more...

still like the name...!!!

i don't really think so...i just think culottes is a cooler way to say it...maybe gauchos aren't as full as culottes...since they were designed for horseback riding...

originally worn by the gauchos (cowboys) in south america (argentina i believe) on the pampas...

Gauchos are fuller on the hips, then go tighter on the knees. They're still worn in Brazil and Argentina.

That's the classic design for a gaucho (it's called "bombacha" in Brazil)

i have a pair of vanessa bruno pants that are like that at the bottom and i never know what to call them...they look more like knickers to me though...

i want to see them on though...are they supposed to be tight?...cause then they're more like breeches...or riding pants...which actually makes sense...
my pants are very loose...

^they aren't tight, and men use them stuck inside their boots. They look a bit like riding pants, but bombachas are looser.
