It's not horrible, but it's a lifeless, and it makes her look big at the top.And she's not big , in fact , she is absolutely stunning.

It's almost certainly not an archival piece. But the print definitely goes back farther than 2001 to FW 1986. I believe Donatella used it a lot in recent menswear?

He went back to the heritage of Versace. I love 80’s Versace very much! 80’s Versace down to his very first few Atelier Collections was fabulous.

Julia is beautiful but maybe lacks in that je ne sais quoi to own Versace. She is more believable in Givenchy and others.

But I like the dress. Maybe more an event dress than Redcarpet one. Fabulous for a dinner at l’Élysée.

I mean it's not bad, but I do think it's the wrong dress for her. If it would have been Meryl Streep or Helen Mirren in this, it would have been more effective and glamorous. But here on Roberts, it reads as dowdy and drab. It just does not fit her image, or rather my image of her.

Honestly, it’s partly the looks themselves, but the PR strategy behind this is also seriously puzzling and amateurish.
The wrong looks (too underwhelming), on the wrong person, at the wrong time. Nothing about this works or feels thought through. Red carpet previews of a new designer only work on rare occasions when everything clicks—otherwise, they’re better avoided.
