i know eh? the hyperpigmentation under my eyes happened about 2-3 years ago and i'm so pissed b/c nothing can get rid of it.. and it's all due to a :censored: dermatologist.

but hey.. that's what you get for being too proud about your asset.. beautiful facial skin was mine.. and when i got all proud inside about it.. i got kicked with negative karma and OFF it went!

I heard that hemorrhoids salve works wonders, especially if your under eye area is a bit puffy and swollen.
I haven't tried that myself, though.

homemade tips

this should be in household recipes.. but this is specifically for dark circles under eyes.

has anyone ever tried one of these tips?

Dark Circles Under Eyes, Dark Eye Circles Remedy[FONT=verdana, arial]
  1. Drink at least ten glasses of water everyday.
  2. Dark Circles under eye are generally due to a lack of sleep, fatigue, stress, deficiency or some disease. Take all precautions to avoid strain on the eyes.
  3. Eight hours of sleep is a must for all of us, specially for people having dark circles under their eyes.
  4. Close your eyes and cover eyelids with slices of raw potato or cucumber for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water and apply a cream.
  5. Grate a cucumber, squeeze to take out its juice and refrigerate. Make a mixture of lemon juice, lanolin cream and cucumber juice and apply around the eye for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Dip some cotton in a 1:1 mixture of potato and cucumber juices. Put the cotton on your eyelids and keep for 20 minutes. Wash your eyes with cold water.
  7. Apply a mixture of lemon and tomato juice (equal parts) on the black circles 2 times a day.
  8. Apply a paste of turmeric powder with pineapple juice for dark circles under the eyes.
  9. Apply crushed mint around the eye.
  10. Massage with almond oil under and around eyes at bed time daily for 2 weeks and see the improvement. Almond helps to remove dark circles, and is an excellent "skin food".
  11. Remove cream applied around the eye after 10 min. No cream should be left on the skin around the eyes for long periods.
  12. Rub the area with a powdered Vitamin E capsule and wipe off with a mixture of honey and egg white.
  13. Put hot and cold clothes alternatively under eyes for 10 minutes. Then apply some almond oil on the dark surface before going to bed.
  14. The acupressure point for eyes is on the mount below the index finger of your palms. Pressing this mount may help.
Puffiness of Eyes:
      • Apply vitamin E or olive oil.
      • Tie some potato grates in a cloth and place over eyes for about 20 minutes.

For better Vision:
  • Eat vegetables and fruits rich in vitamin A.
  • Immerse carrot leave in hot water and leave for a few minutes. Drink the liquid 3 times a day before meals.
  • Dip cotton balls in rose water or cold water and keep under the eyses for 10 minutes.
  • Take Ginkgo.
  • Try chamomile tea bags cooled over eyes.

Aww well you found a perfect solution to the problem, thats allways something - I have a friend who suffers from hyperpigmentation (and I know I'll be doing her wedding make-up when that day arrives..I'll have to get a hold of some of that Cover FX in her colouring..to bad it can only be bought in the US and Canada..)

Satin chic try and do a search on hemorrhoid salve - I remember reading some posts saying that long term use of it will make the skin under your eyes thinner and make bloodvessels more visible = make you blue/dark under your eyes :flower:

Tushka_BeLLa Touche Eclat only come in 2 tones (#1 and #2).
When I talked to the SA about them she said that #2 is the one for asian skin tones. #1 is for everyone else was the impression I got, in any event it's the one I use :flower:

I use number 2, I have gemma ward skin also... Number 1 I found was a pinkish bass, where as my skin tone is more yellow based... Which is what number 2 is. It works for me... I hope it is the one I am supposed to be using...?!

I just try to sleep longer (8 - 10 hours) for a fre days, then they go away. (If I get less than 5 hours of sleep, I look like a ZOMBIE in the morning! lol)

what under eye cream are u using?

I would like to use a under eye cream for dark circle and fine wrinkles, what do u use ,and could u see a big difference?
many thanks cazza:D

Yeah, I think sleep is the best prevention and remedy. I find going to sleep earlier almost matters more than sleeping longer, but I guess being "well rested" in general ^^

Preparation H is hemorroid cream. It sounds gross but I always read that it's what make-up artists use for a quick fix.

I use cold ice-cubes in a soft thin cloth (so it's not SO cold) on my eye bags to reduce puffiness and I use lots of concealer for the black circles. I use Dior Long-wearing moisturizing concealer and my sister says the concealer wand by Clarins is awesome.
Also, if you sleep with your head elevated instead of lying flat it's supposed to be better for puffy eyes due to less water retention.

Does anyone know what's good for hydrating eye bags? I have dry eye bags probably from use of concealer.

I have been using Hylexin every morning for dark circles, and I think it works. I have been meaning to just put it on one eye and so what the difference is but I haven't brought myself to it.

I wanted to do that as well, but if it worked i didn't want to walk around with one black eye and one good one!!!

I've had really big circles under my eyes since I started wearing glasses about 8 years ago. I don't think I can get rid of them.

what does anyone think of the jurlique eye gell?

i've been using the arnaca cream which says it's good for quickly getting rid of bruises and undereye circles? i have no idea if this is true or not but i've been using it to speed up healing process for blemish, etc. i think the idea is to basically help your blood circulation and make the black eye/dark circle go away quicker.

undereye circles?

What can I do? Because I'm so pale, you can see blue circles under my eyes caused by veins. It's not pigmentation or anything, it's just my thin, pale skin easily shows the veins underneath my eye area. The only advice i've been given is to cover it up but I need to get rid of it! I'm tired of covering it up every day of my life. I need a solution, anything!

It doesn't sound gross. I mean. They don't put hemorroids in hemorroid cream, do they?
Though, I've heard that it does get rid of puffy eyes, but it also can result in dark circles. It's something with the veins. But I'd rather have no puffiness opposed to something you can cover with a concealer. My dark circles can't possibly get any darker anyway :D
