I've heard this will be out in september. the spring Rafe for target items have just arrived in stores.

wwd:
ON TARGET: Devi Kroell's python, anaconda and karung bags with their often four-figure price tags aren't for everyone. But the Manhattan accessories designer, who won Swarovski's Perry Ellis Award for Accessory Design at the CFDA Awards in 2006, is said to be developing a more democratic style — for Target. Sources said Kroell is next in line to create an accessories line for the retailer, following Rafé New York, which launched handbags for Target in November. "I admire the work of Target and their sharp focus on great design. While I may have had conversations with Target about possible future opportunities, there is simply nothing to share at this time," said Kroell in a statement. On the other end of the spectrum, Kroell recently launched a bespoke collection, featuring made-to-order bags in exotic skins such as alligator and ostrich with the option of gold hardware set with precious stones, for her most affluent and particular customers. Sources said Kroell, who is also expecting her first child in April, will launch her line with Target sometime this year. A representative for Target declined to comment.

any more info about the bespoke line...?? :innocent:

not this early, but something should show up in the target press area in the accessories area in the summer. maybe something will pop up at shop local or one of those other shopping sites in the summertime as well...

i hope there are matching shoes to the bags...just like rafe has matching shoes to some of his bags at target now!

i checked the press section and the press release for rafe says that his spring designs will be in until july.

i think devi kroell's collection would make sense for a holiday collection.

rafe's stuff for target ran between 19.99-49.99. i would expect her's to be the same.

Whaaaaa??? Goodness thats quite a change in price range isnt it. I am really curious to see what they will look like. I guess it won't be made out of a whole genuine python skin. :P

This is great news. One can only hope that it'll be better than the Rafe For Target line...

This should be interesting. I really cannot imagine what a Devi for Target collection would look like. Half the allure of her bags lay in the use of exotic skins.

^exactly. her bags are only special because they are just really simple and luxurious. Really don't know if she is a talented enough "designer" for this to work. Also, considering that her brand is really not yet established fully (still not incredibly known even by fashion insiders, AND goes on sale almost every season), I don't think this is the best idea from a marketing stand point.

yes!!! according theviewfromthefourthrow blog the devi kroell for target presentation is this week! maybe some pictures will leak.

i found this info here

In July, Kroell's collection for Target hits shelves. "It's a selection of all my best-of pieces. And the products look amazing. The first time I saw them I was completely blown away. The materials are imitation python and plastic, but they're very well done—especially the clutches. If you wear one with an evening gown, no one will be able to tell that it's a plastic clutch." ...

im really hoping fo matching shoes.

a quote from a fashionweekdaily story...

“We’re not using real skins for this collection,” said Kroell, who’s gearing up for Wednesday’s press presentation of her accessories collection for Target. “But so many people have been wanting to get my bags, and now they can at this price point. $50 clutches for everybody!”

wow,
this is news to me.
she didnt mention anything when i saw her...
hmmm as long as she doesnt use those skins..
intrigued as to how it will look.

i'm curious. i wasn't crazy about the Rafe stuff at target. I love clutches and i think they can be executed cheaply and simply so hopefully they will come through.

Yay for no leather! I want to see the pictures and hope that they are interesting, I might get one.

im not sure about this.
how can someone who is famous for her exotic skins not many ANY leather??
curious to see

there's no way a leather bag would make a decent target price point.
I'm hoping she doesn't attempt to do a animal embossed pvc.. it will turn out so cheap.. .ugh... PVC can be done well.. occasionally.

Even some of their leather clothing items usually don't sell well unless the design is very nice...
