calling dior homme fans- i'm thinking of buying the coat above from the current autumn collection. i'm bulkier than most people on this thread and usually don't have a hope in hell of fitting into dior homme (!)- but i can just about get into this so-long as i wear thin layers- as this is an overcoat- is a snug fit desirable?

I think it looks great how it's shown - fitted. however, I think it also depends on your figure. you mention that you're more bulk than most people who post in this thread, so you might want it to fit a little more loosely..

I wear a size 50-52, and I would wear it fitted even at that size - I think it's sexy that way.

^ "Bulky" when you're talking about Dior Homme means slim, right? :p

I've got a few more pieces that I'd like to put up for sale. I'll wait until sunday before I post them onto ebay. You guys get first shot:)

1. Black "Follow Me" sleeveless tank top- Signature tank with Follow Me written in script on the front chest. The script is printed in a lustrous black so it's more subtle than the silver printed version. Cloth epaulets, underarm notches, shoulder darts, everything is there and in wonderful condition.

2. Canvas/Leather Dior shadow monogram wallet- the classic black-on-black Dior monogram that's super subtle and present on most of the luggage as well. The interior is perfect smooth black italian leather. Is brand new in the gray dustbag w/authenticity card and in the white Dior box.

3. Brown suede messenger bag- The suede bags were issued last season and never went on sale, they just weren't carried over. This one has a single canvas strap over the top and wonderful hardware details. The bag is all suede inside and out with a little front flap covering the Dior Homme printed into the Scotch-Garded suede. Purchased at Jeffrey's for $1100. Comes with authenticity card.
I didn't see this model in any of the other stores!

If you'd like pictures and prices please contact me!

Cheers,
A

No debt for me. It's all about money management. Most people don't understand it. For those who do, isn't it fantastic? :D

Exactly. And like Chinorlz said, building a respectable designer wardrobe isn't as difficult or out of reach as it may seem...sure at retail it's like $500 sweaters and $300 t-shirts, but at the peak of sales time I seriously see stuff in there that's more affordable than J Crew or Abercrombie & Fitch, or at least in a similar price range if only slightly more expensive.

And I find the whole concept of young boys wh*ring themselves out to sugar daddies to be disgusting...i mean i don't know the exact motives of these kids, perhaps they really need the cash or they just want a higher lifestyle, but to me, that's the ultimate form of self-disrespect. :yuk:

Hi all! New member here, but have been lurking for a few months now. I'm very much new to Dior Homme, as well as fashion in general, and this thread in particular has not only left me a poorer man (thanks Albert!) but opened my eye to a whole new world out there. My last few trips to NYC have been a dramatically different experience. So thank you all for that!

A question I had was about the current season v-neck beaded sweater. I'm not sure if I'll be able to try one on anytime soon, and I was hoping for info about the fit, what you think of it, and possibly any pics of you wearing it. My winter wardrobe is in serious need and this is but one piece that I'm thinking about purchasing.

So thanks in advance, and I look forward to talking with you all.

I don't know how it fits, but that's only because after I took it in my hands and felt how horrendous the quality is (rough itchy wool) I had no desire to try it on.

Yeah the wool they use in those beaded sweaters is basically the cheapest/roughest form of wool out there, adding a few plastic beads and some rips in the sweater really doesn't justify the high price. It fits like other Dior sweaters pretty much, quite slim and form fitting, especially if you wear a button down underneath (which you pretty much HAVE to, there's no way I imagine any sane human being can wear it for a whole day w/ just a tee under). When I first touched it with hand, it didn't seem that bad but the material becomes even more uncomfortable and itchy while wearing it.

It's quite disturbing when you think of it. Pay like 400(?) euros for something you know wouldnt be comfty (not in a good way discomfty ^_^). :yuk:

If you wear a longsleeve shirt underneath, it's fine. I'm not complaining about mine. The fit is very slim, and it's a bit on the long side, as is everything else this season, which I'm not exactly happy with, but it's really no big deal.

has anyone seen these boots in person? are they nice? all I have is a picture from eluxury..

what was this shirt called?

Chris that was just a tee with the boy silhouette on it. They did a bunch of versions including a black silhouette on white tee/tank and white silhouette on black tee/tank as well. I believe there were even long sleeved versions too. I don't think they initially did very well in stores during Follow Me as I recall lots and lots of them on ebay back then.

As for the boots, they have them at Barney's and they're pretty nice I must say. Come sales time, the price may just be reasonable enough for me to pick up!

MUCH better than the other footwear this season in my opinion.
