the seller's reply - "oops, I just checked the tag,it is $295"

So convincing, so subtle.

I did check his feedback and other items b4 purchasing, he's got pos reviews and auth. items. I'm just going to buy it because it's still a good price. I'll just give him neg. feedback for lying twice and ripping me off with shipping, but i"ll leave happy anyway. I learned my lesson. thx :flower:

haha, that sucks :( still a decent price, though! and if you're happy with them, that's all that counts :D

as far as negative feedback goes.. I'd be careful! I gave someone negative feedback for lying to me on an item, and they gave me negative feedback also! ebay wouldn't do anything about it

so watch out! :D

yeah...i don't see why negative feedback should be dished out in this situation. i mean there is a slight tip-toeing around the rules on the part of the seller in his misrepresentation of the item's price, but i mean if you receive the item in good condition, it's the genuine article, and the transaction went smoothly then I think you should just leave a positive feedback. Negative feedback will most likely be reciprocated, and he'll probably leave a nasty comment on yours too which may turn off other potential sellers in the future, just a word of advice....(also like i mentioned before, you did get a relatively good deal on these considering they never even go below retail at the boutique)

agreed. if you really want to leave any form of negative feedback, I would leave neutral feedback instead of the negative. mention you received the item, but list any problems you had :)

I just don't want to see you get negative feedback from him, just because he can :ninja:

The new jewelry was posted a couple pages back and my girlfriend just bought me one of the necklaces; we were in the store (NYC) yesterday right after they came in and, naturally, I fell in love this one. Honestly, I thought I'd like the eagle/drop one more... but it didnt look as good once it was on. Anyway, here's a very very poor camera phone picture of it! Enjoy!

And I find the whole concept of young boys wh*ring themselves out to sugar daddies to be disgusting...i mean i don't know the exact motives of these kids, perhaps they really need the cash or they just want a higher lifestyle, but to me, that's the ultimate form of self-disrespect. :yuk:

I think it is not showing proper respect to Heidi Slimane to say such unkind things about such relationships. If not for the extreme kindness of Karl Lagerfeld toward a sweet, attractive, talented, and once unknown effeminant young man named Heidi we wouldn't have the Dior Homme designs that we enjoy wearing and discussing in such detail on this thread.

Older gentleman have been helping younger men advance in the world, in exchange for certain favors, in many cultures over many years. It is a very very traditional form of relationship. It existed with the Samuri in Japan, in ancient Greece and Rome, in British boarding schools over the years until today, etc. It is often said that "men rule the world." Many sociologists believe that it has largely been through these mentoring love relations between older and younger men that males have developed the power stucture to in fact rule the world.

Well Said there....it's ironic to trash a designer and still appreciate his work. If I dislike a designer I don't even want to support him in anyway! So those who like Dior Homme but hate the designer are just wh*ring themselves!

Well, HEDI is NOT feminine and sorry but what you said about so called "ancient Greece" is pure bullocks, Socrates was not that way.......

 I don't really give a sh*t about Hedi. I just like Dior Homme clothes. If they continue to look like Dior Homme clothes, I don't care who's designing them.

Love those sneakers, Eddie.

I don't know about you guys, but I think designers do have a big impact if they decide to leave the designer label. Ever since Tom Ford step down from Gucci, it started to look like Sh*t. The good old red and green stripe motif and the Gucci monogram came back into production. I find that to be repulsive and pure nasty in my opinion :yuk:. YSL Rive Gauche, Gucci, Prada Sport, Jil Sander, Hermes, Jean Paul Gaultier, Miu Miu, J. Lindeberg, Dolce & Gabbana Roberto Cavalli, Custo Barecelona, and among many others higher end designer labels have all have been very repetitive with their collection these couple years. Yet, they hope consumers like us will continue being loyal to them .

Not that I am implying that the infamous designers we admire has consistently hit right on target with their style either. Even the best creative designers have their "off" days when a few of their seasonal collections looks so intolerable to bare.

Not to go off tangent, so no one has any interest with Thierry Mugler black label clothing?

Dior Homme is an exceptional case because it was Hedi who built it up from the beginning, even moreso than Tom Ford did with Gucci. But in the end Hedi is just another employee at Dior, just so happens he designs the Hi-End menswear that is Dior Homme. No doubt that Dior Homme will continue without Hedi, but it will inevitably face the same dilemma as Gucci: Should it keep the Tom Ford trademarks or start over with a new image among other stuff? But I must say that after SS05/AW05/SS06 it won't be as difficult for a new designer to "blend" in than say after SS04.

Yes, I have. They are incredible. Get them. I would've bought them myself but Jeffrey was sold out of my size.

<edit> I just looked at all the replies. Mayb I jumped the gun. I saw these last season, or the ones almost identical to these. Did they carry them over?

I posted a few items I purchased this season in my blog if anyone would like to see :) I haven't updated it all yet, though. a few Dior Homme items, and some more to come (not all from this season, though - just purchased now)

also, if you all could take a look at the Gucci coat I have on there... I bought it, but I'm not sure if I should return it or not.. I just think I might be able to find something at Dior Homme, etc. that might be better.. I'm not sure!

I think they should get another maverick designer and who is similar to Hedi in sensibilites but leave it there and have him do his own thing.
