One could certainly argue that Chen's style is more iconic than wearing Dior Homme/similar brands to completely mimic what Slimane sends out on the runway.

If you're saying for Hong Kong standards, then I guess that's somewhat true as his fashion choices tend to have some influence on preferences of HK youth...but I don't think his style is anything to write home about really. Except I do commend him for being able to keep up with the latest Nike sneakers and collector's Japanese denim with such regularity, basically wearing the newest thing every week as it comes out. Guess that's what comes with the money/having friends in that Japanese circle.

Oh dear. What precisely is commendable about wearing a label while slavishly dedicated to one style aka a generic street look. It's not clever and it's not big. Also known as "missing the point".

Ew!

BTW, on Yoox, if you go in the women's Christian Dior section, they have alot of Dior Homme cords for cheap (around 220$-250$) in black/grey/tan. They must've made a mistake (hell, they even got women to model them, but if you look at the back pictures, you can see the DH slashes on the back pockets) since the sizes are small, from 27 to 32 and in both the 19cm and 21 cm hems (mostly 19's). I know there's alot of thin guys here who always have trouble finding the uber-rare size 27's (Alex and Jost/tricotineacetat, I'm looking your way :P), so check them out.
ehhhh, thanks for the recommendation, I actually realised that I only wear the same old jeans again and again, so I really shouldn´t buy more jeans in the future... unless they are glitter-coated or silver/gold painted as next season...

nobody says you have to wear Dior Homme like you see it exactly on the runway - but wearing it baggy like that is wrong.

if you want to wear jeans that are loose, you can wear Dolce & Gabbana jeans like the models wear them.

Wow, this is the only time I've even seen this piece for sale!

It's crazy what pops up on y!, Eddie, the leather jacket you tried on is definitely in the $8k range as there's one on y! and it converts to about that. I can't believe it was that expensive though you know? There are a lot of zippers and such, but I feel the detailing was less than the signature Strip leather jackets with all the rivets and threading. Not sure what makes it $8k....

^ but its so ugly!

The current issue of i-D magazine has Naomi Watts on the cover wearing the SS06 black on black sailor/Michael Jackson blouson.

10+ Homme magazine (at least that's what i think it's called) also has a 30 page spread on Dior Homme along with an interview with Slimane.

It's true:D

that cow jacket is horrible! where is the brooch jacket on y! ? i look there all the time and never see it.

oh sorry, i totally forgot i posted about that since no one replied to it. i was thinking of the brooch jacket the whole way.

So I got a little bored tonight and thus decided to lob most of my collection onto my bed for photos. I've left out a few odds and ends... a couple pairs of sunglasses, my Red boots, converse style black hi tops, dark gray tee with leather epaulets, red skinny tie, black VotC dress pants, and my beat to hell (formerly) white wallet. A few more pieces coming in the mail that i'm very excited about ^_^ , but all in all... this is my (ridiculous, now that I lay it all out) collection.

It may be hard to see, but the other black coat has the circular stitching around the forearms too haha.

And I know my red/black blood wound isn't Dior, but it's "dior"

Anyone else got time to kill? Love to see your collections!

Mad props to your collection, Albert.

I'd be ashamed to follow that up with my small *** collection.

hey! no worries dude...you look better with your current clothes than i do in dior homme, to be honest...it's all relative. You remind me of Beck circa Odelay.

Thanks buddy! No worries, you have yourself a more varied collection of brands. I'm sort of tunnel visioned into Dior, although probably not any more new season stuff unless they shape up. Just gonna slowly increase my Luster collection hehe.

CAPITA, I started two years ago as a Junior in college. The key is ebay and end of season sales. As long as you're willing to dig, you can find pieces for relatively cheap. There are 3 pieces that I paid $1000 each for. The rest were well under that. I've picked up shirts and polos for around $50 on ebay, and some stuff for even less. Right place, right time is key.

It can be done. I by no means am a high roller, but at the same time I don't have any credit card debt and I pay for everything myself, as a 23 (almost 24) year old. This is a culmination of 2 years of buying, so if you think of it that way, it was relatively gradual.

haha gotta be a high roller. I roll deep and spend as I please...$500 cigar in mouth, handing in benjamins to the bellboy, bartender, and the escort...good times.

I wish :ninja:

Thanks Fade to Black! Very flattered my style reminds you of beck, though I've seen the pictures of you in your dior and your style is something I wanna go for in the future, more sophisticated (like you) but I still feel weird wearing a blazer....

Chinor1z, thanks for the advice! Nice to hear that is possible to find dior at more of my price range. I've started looking on ebay but havent found anything that I could afford yet. Sadly I live in Seattle, Wa (no dior homme for milessss) so end of the season sales are to practical but hey im thinking of going back to school in NYC next year so maybe in the future I'l be able to take advantage. But yea, your collection is incredible!

I was just checking some auctions on ebay and I saw someone ask a question about an item, and then the seller reply.

Q: Can you provide a original photo and not something on a website?
A: I am traveling through europe this week, thus no time for photos. I am in Geneva todaz, Vienna yesterday, Berling the daz before, Munchen the daz before, Nurburg tomorrow, Luxembourg the next, Brussels the next. Sorry mate.

sometimes a simple no would suffice :P
