Besides their hurt feelings[that aside],I'm glad they are through because she was clearly using him for press and a more glam life,look back at how much her fame grew in all the mainstream mags once she started dating Marilyn.And he is too intelligent for a shallow woman like her.I knew it wouldn't last.I do feel bad for them but it was easy to see!

this is sad...i met dita this past summer at a book signing. she seemed so sad, even though she was smiling and such. sad and fragile.....i hope they both get through it all okay. that sucks. apparently manson had just cut her off for several months prior to this, avoiding her and ignoring her. she had said somewhere that one day she just moved out. she tried calling him and contacting him to let him know what was going on, but he still hadn't contacted her or talked to her by the time she filed the paperwork. sounds like he's a manic depressive person or something and has some issues he needs to work out, and that no one can help him with

Why are people calling Marilyn ugly? I think he's a very attractive man personally, intelligent and cultured with a talent for art and culture. Sure his make-up is most likely unpalletable to the majority of tastes but also creative expression in his own rights. And that shouldn't distract from his rather unusual and handsome facial features.

Hmm, I swore I wouldn't post in this thread, but it amazes me that so many people here think that in looking for a long term partner is up to good looks ... are people who like fashion this shallow? Maybe it is just me, but I'd go for personality first. It is personality which makes someone attractive and the relationship to last. I have never heard of a happy marriage because of looks. What would you even talk about? Your make-up?

I don't have anything to say about this subject of Manson's and Von Teese's divorce, but the fact that so many intelligent people here think looks are absolutely important in a relationship is somewhat appalling. You can base a one-night-stand on good looks, but a life long committed relationship? That certainly cannot be based on good looks.

I really have no place commenting on thier relationship and why it didn't owrk out in the end. The only thing I can say is, imagewise, they were my favorite couple. Black and purple, the man from hell and the burlesque performer? Fan-effing-tastic.

^^I second that, WhiteLinen! I cannot imagine how a "better looking" man can guarantee more happiness? It's just ridiculous. Looks can be enough for one night or a short romance but what builds a relationships is compatibility and personality.

I have nothing to comment on this couple's relationship or divorce, just other member's thoughts ... I found it rather ridiculous that some grown people here do seem to think good looks play a big part in a serious relationship. To me that sounds like high school.

It annoys me when people say something like that. At the end all you have is personality left.
