Do you do 'The Fashion' every day?

no choice but to reflect my personal style every single day,
working in fashion companies and having appointments all day through doesnt give me much choices i guess but i really enjoy not leaving home unattented...
even when i'm just in my dark tight jeans, i try to make the look 'interesting'

a scarf there, a pair of funky earrings or a styling trick makes all the difference

I usually try to look presentable in school (we have a "soft" dress code), but if I've got exams (exam weeks are pure hell at my school) it's (typically retro Adidas Originals or Puma) track pants, silly t-shirts, and sneakers (old or new school) for days on end. That's the case with most of my classmates, with certain variations. After an exam day everyone looks like !@#%...

How often do you dress a mess (carelessly, for comfort)

I get the sense that everyone here has a well put together, perfect-condition, outfit on at all times (accessories and bag and all!)
Is that the case?

As soon as I get home, I change into my dumpy clothes. These are big baggy pants I keep getting from my bf's mom as xmas gifts ever year, and t-shirts that, while I love, are too worn out to wear in public, but not yet ready to become rags (that's the next step). I may slip on some slippers and a bathrobe to complete the look if I feel in the cozy mood!

Sometimes when I'm just going out for "nothing special" (for example, grocery run), I will slap together a random pair of un-favorite pants and whatever clean t-shirt (or sweater, depending on weather) happens to be around, along with my old sneaks. No jewlerry, and no handbag. Might carry something as fashionable as a large knapsack or grocery cart (you know the ones old ladies have) to carry my stuff back in.

And sometimes, if I woke up late, I might wear a similar outfit (but with my black messenger bag) to school.

Do you guys ever feel too busy, or too tired, or simply not in the mood, to choose the best outfit for the day or outing, and just put on whatever's clean?

I never wear dirty, broken or too small stuff, even when I'm hanging out at home. sometimes i only wear jeans and a tee, sometimes beautiful dresses,coats,shoes,jewelry... But i'm not obsessed. If I have an exam and have 2 hours time to get ready,I'll spend 1 h 40 minutes studying, not getting myself dressed.

Even if I'm in a hurry,I'll dab on tinted moisturizer, and some mascara, plus a 3 in 1 product for eyes, lips and cheeks. My hair is long and wavy and it's easy to make it look good. Usually I apply my make up in the car...at least the lighting is good,no orange streaks:D

I work in a hospital. All the women I'd worked with in my previous hospital loved fashion, and it was always exciting to see what we would wear each day.Not so in the country wear I live at the moment.Dressing well, for women, means jeans, blazers, loafers and a near-mullet. Everything in me rebels against this, and the way I dress to work is,in part,a kind of backlash.

Getting dressed for work is the best part of my day :D .I don't have flashy or ultratrendy style but I like to look groomed, put together, and to have something a little unusual about what I'm wearing.
I work with three 54 year old men who wear suit trousers and mismatched shirts every day and I love not looking as if I beling with them:lol: .The other women who work where I do have to wear a uniform.

I also get a lot of respect for the heels that i am able to work in...I don't have a sedentary job. When I am in pain,I never let it show:lol: .

Being well dressed is kind of a trade mark for me.

When I am at home I wear anything from skirts to jeans/cargo pants.I do have yoga pants: For the gym.I am usually barefoot at home.

Popping to the supermarket I can be very casual. But I always have my hair combed,my face clean (I don't wear make-up at home) and a good bag and shoes.

I dress for myself....certainly no-one here appreciates it!!

same here !!! @#% the last school days !!!

I dress nice. There's 800 students at my school, I talk to a lot of people during the day and I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing that if I looked like crap. Neither would I feel comfortable in class. And I must admit that I'm starting to dress up after I've become single - you never know :ninja:

I have never worn a tracksuit outside, well only if I'm going or coming from gym and thank god that is only like 10minutes walk, so I am anti-Britney, I can not leave the house without making sure that everything looks nice, that the belt matches the shoes and stuff like that
Sometimes I have this look, my Sunday-look, that I don't do so much, meaning that I don't straighten my hair and that I can wear a baggy jeans and big sweater, but that is still very well planned thing, sometimes it is so hard to looks this great as I always do ^_^ but it is worth it, I think all that matters is that you feel good about yourself when you step out from your door, I don't dress up for anybody else, this all is just for me!

I'm a college student so most of the time I just wear sneakers, jeans, some t-shirt, and a nice jacket or blazer. In halls I'll just wear pj bottoms and a baggy sweat-shirt. I have about 20 pairs of heels which were a royal pain in the *** to pack, but I wear sneakers all the time

I did that too when I was in boarding school - but it's so boring, dull and not inspiring at all. People should dress up more. Get in those heels, you! :D

I am a total slob at home - only my family sees this.

At university I sometimes go through moods and can be a fashionista - being in the business faculty can be a bit amusing, there are some girls who try very hard each day.

it depends on my mood really, though I always dress. I'm just not comfortable wearing trackbottoms and hoodies out unless I'm going to dance class (and even that's an adjustment - I feel like I'm walking down the street in my pajamas). lately I've been in a rut of jeans and sweaters with a trenchcoat thrown over them though...but I always make an effort to look put together and chic even if I'm not wearing something quirky or creative.

i don't plan outfits . . .
just go w/my mood in the morning & the time i have :innocent:
trousers if i have no time
i have been told i have a v.instinctive style
almost inherent . . . i can't not 'consider' smthn in an outfit . .
just pick out wht goes . . . & who cares if it works . . . !

:woot: actually I'm the same. I only plan for important occasions. I never leave home with tracking suit though. My laziest outfit is jeans/tshirt/sneakers, but I make sure that I carry a nice bag :P

I am pretty scruffy . . . but at the same time, I always wear pieces of jewelry that are important to me and reflecting my mood at the time (a gemstone necklace, or a big bracelet or ring), and I always wear scarves (because they just WORK year-round as a light layer), and my "just throw it on" jacket is a fabulous leather blazer, so I like to think that even when I'm scruffy with my beat-up corderoys and sh*tty t-shirts, some of my personal style shines through.

However, when it comes to hair and makeup, I definitely err on the side of Britney and Helena more often than I care to admit. :innocent:

today I'm wearing black sweatpants, grey fitted hoodie with white etnie's trainers and no make-up. I can't say I'm "doing fashion" but I think everything goes together..

OMG, i NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER (ok you got the point) leave the house if i don't look perfect!
My hair have to be perfect, my nails manicured, my make up flawless...
I can't go out looking like *%@$ . I just can't.
Even sometimes if something's wrong with me (bad hair day, broken nail, i feel fat, etc) i stay home. I know it's SO stupid, but i just can't. If i go out i will thing that everybody's staring at my flaws and i won't have any fun... So i stay at home. It's pathetic...i know, but that's the way it is...
Friggin' perfectionism:angry: ...

^ hmm, fashion is a good thing but it shouldn't own you! find perfection in your imperfections ^_^
