Doc Martens revival

I'm looking to get a second pair. i'm wondering if i could go smaller size. I've heard docs run large, and i'm a size 6.5/7 US. I already have size 5's UK, and they fit fine, if not a little big and odd looking. could anyone help me out? thanks!

just posting my opinion but: hate them! always have. abhor the tacky yellow stitching and clunky sole. prefer authentic combat boots. sorry.

I owned my first pair of Docs at the mere age of 9 All my older brother's friends used to wear them way back in the 90's. I wore them again in my teens, when I had a goth phase. Now that it's winter I'm thinking about getting another pair, because I think they look great with skinny jeans and I just can't wear high heeled boots in winter because I'm scared of slipping.
And I just realized they actually look great with shorts or skirts too

I totally remember wearing black 8 hole docs during my goth phase in 7th grade. I loved them. I still love them to this day. I wear them daily. I like how they can be worn many different ways. For women I think its important to balance them out with other pieces that are more feminine, cause theyr a very masculine looking boot.

I'm so sad, the boots I posted earlier in #890 were too small! So they're going back on eBay one day, although I have bought some bigger ones in gold:

I also want them in black, but I'm debating getting them also in 14, or getting the 1942, which are 20 eye. I wonder if it's too much, but I'm not sure...

So I got my 1914 Red cherry docs, 14 eyes the day before Christmas! I'm totally excited, I just need to wear them in. They are so stiff they tired my legs and feet really fast which was odd for any pair of boots to do, so I'm wondering if I tied them on too tight. Also, they completely cut my skin so I need to buy some mink oil to soften up the leather.

What is everyone's best tip for the higher (14/20) docs?
