^^ true true .. and can i ask you a big favour and i shall love you for ever .. can you pritty please rename the thread .. as the title doenst seem apt any more

maybe to milletary style boots/dm's or something .. i dunno what to sorry hun just i knwo this title doesnt seem right .. maybe other people have some ideas ?? :flower:

I don't really think we should rename it; there is specifically a Doc Martens revival on now, and you picked it ahead of most; you should be proud! :flower:

I think that if anyone wants to start a thread about military-style boots in general, they could have their own thread.

i had a feeling this was coming... but i think i wore the classic black lace-ups too much the first time around to get into docs specifically again...

i do love big clunky flat boots though, so if this trend means there will be more in the shops to pick from, i am all for it! i've had such issues with buying boots the past few seasons...

the boots i have that get the most compliments are actually a pair of knee-high reddish-brown waxy leather docs w/an inner zip... when i tell ppl they're docs, they're always surprised... ^_^

I just recently got the zip up calf high docs, but I really want to get a new pair of these, which I wore out in the 90's when I was a kid. I was thinking of wearing them with a feminie peasant top and jeans. Would that look ridiculous though? Docs are also so functional for the weather here in Boston. Any suggestions how to wear them? My style is probably a mixture of feminine grunge with a bit of bohemian.

I love these in a slightly tone down version. That last pic makes me want to take out my coffer again

I have the Yohji ones (and love them), but they are not made in China they are made in Thailand.

i wear myn with bright coloured tights, skinny jeans tucked in them, i wear flowery dreses with them .. i often wear alot of girly things with them with a biker jacket over .. i like the mixture of the two :flower:

Anyone know how many holes the boots have in the pic from post #90?

10 holes, I think.

I have a pair of 14-hole Dr. Martens I bought some years ago. I want some more, perhaps with 10 holes. And I lust the Chloé wedge docs.

The flower ones are exactly the same my weird and totally uncool History teacher has.
Nooo. Haha. :p

just got a magazine with a ton of punk inspired doc marten clad models....i'll scan later...in the meantime, my MJ boots i just got:
