Even though I don't particularly like this collection...I do like a lot of the details (maybe because they are so Lacroix...)

For example, I love the mix of the yellow croc purse with the bow and the jeweled brooch and the black and faded gold brocade.

I also love this combination of fabrics

:ninja: japan... as in the same japan everyone did two seasons ago? the same galliano has masterfully worked over and over? :ninja:
why is it that everybody likes this new coutured dolce & gabbana? why is it that nobody wants python-dolce-bitchy-gabbana anymore? now that dsquared seems to be back to what they do best, i had high hopes that the milanese couple would do it even better!!
...
seriously... japan?

their styling is vuittonizing season after season... and it just doesnt feel right
I actually know what you mean and i do agree.Yes, the designers should evolve and try to reinvent themselves but when they go boring and try to hard and fail its not pretty.

I dont think this is a bad collection, some good pieces here, but it just feels so empty, and i dont know if it makes sense, dishonest?

Where is the Dolce & Gabbana woman? The kind of bitchy glamazon that lives to be hated,The Alexis Carrington or her modern day version: Victoria Beckham, the woman with tons of attitude and sass.I miss her, now we have this romantic vunerable chick who carries a lap dog with her, instead of a man of the season who will pay for all of her clothes and get disposed as fast as a used Kleenex after the bills are taken cared off.

And even Versace is doing faux sophistication!

I feel sorry for the girls for having to walk in those shoes:shock: their poor feet. The collection is just :yuk: cant find one good thing about it really.

I did like some of the dresses, but the collection in general didn't appeal to me. I agree with those who thought that it was repetitive. It bored me, unfortunately...

god, those pieces with the blossoms... mmmmmhhhhh....

i wonder tho how that will translate to the sales floor. i mean, it's gorgeous, yes, but they can't sell too much of that. i hope the simplified versions will be just as gorgeous.

else... i don't think they used the asian silk too well. just.... a thought.

Cathy Horyn was right when she was quoted as, "...Dolce needs to do "sexy", because that's what they're good at...", or something to that effect. This is too complicated and too much, it's not their strength imo.

RIP "sexy" Dolce woman :(
