Ha! The background can't fool me. There is no red thread here or a theme going on. Looking at the outfits this could be any DS2 collection with your typical washed jeans, white shirts and leather jackets.

Yup...I agree with most of you about this collection. I have not read the reviews about the show yet...so, I'm uncertain as to what Dan and Dean's "story" is supposed to be about. It looks a bit too schizophrenic and all-over-the-place.

Upon first glance...it looked very fay apres-ski resort....then, after seeing the camo flight-jacket...the old-school Barracuda-jacket knockoff...the bleached-out jeans, the skinny suspenders...the Fred Perry-esque polo shirts and combat boots...the Skinhead reference is just too blatant.


I'm still on edge waiting to see the Comme Des Garcons show...and Junya Watanabe....god, I hope they send me some relief from all this horrible Italian grief!!!

Well...I must admit...there is a very tongue-in-cheek chic to some of that Skinhead mystique....it's a great way for a typical fey to "look" butch.

I do like the look...but the interpretation is a bit to cliche'. Jeap Paul Gaultier does such a better job with his representation of gay subcultures...at least they don't look very racist. Oh...and that beer-guzzling gimmick....Gaultier did that several seasons ago...but the models looked soooo much more stylish in a headfull of butterfly-clips in their hair....

Did they use a few music-clips from a band called Screwdriver to represent this stuff???

Hedi Slimane also did this look some time back...the first presentation was a bright-red satin band-jacket.....black and white saddle-shoes thingamabobs...and skinny suspenders...the look was a bit more refreshing...a lot more socially acceptable!!

There is nothing stylish about racism, regardless of the interpretation or reference.
