You've got to be kidding??!! This colection keeps getting worse, and more worse.

I love how the title "designer" is used so loosely to describe these 2 twin-monkeys?? What have they "designed" that hasn't already been done before?? Any moron with a design degree can do this junk??!!

I would LOVE to see these 2 "designers"...or more appropriately called "stylists" design something that doesn't exist.

This is a designer label catered to an audience who needs over-commercialism...tacky logos and hype to make them feel stylish and fashionable.

The collection is a total un-original...boring snore!!!!

RACISM?! for some boots and braces? A bit rich and out of hand. I don't think that is their agenda. Besides, gay skinheads have always existed and that is the real issue here.
Yes, GAY p*rno fantasy have reared its head again but who do they dress as real customers???? Young disco bunnies.

margielamike, where on earth did you get the idea to compare this to Kawakubo anyway?
Or should every design firm simply copy her? Everything in perspective, non?

please skinheads were not nazi in the first stage of this cultural phenomen....
it comes from England middle-low class.....
and at this time even some black were skinheads....

so please stop the clichés....
i think they just take the skinheads aesthetics in p*rn.....

those guys watch that much p*rn????
i remember last year (or season) was very Titan Prod.

As I've said season after season ... the dress models for the show just by throwing them naked on a bunch of clothes from the salvation army -in this case, their Berlin and Canada HQs- and then having them do the catwalk ...

The Catens are the laziest designers ever ... and theyre not even designers ... remember their original bussiness was party organizers ...

The references they used are a bit too blatant.

Braces and combat-boots...bleached-out jeans...flight jackets and jean turn-ups...Fred Perry polo shirts and Barracuda jackets...god...what more could they have used...a theme song by a band called Screwdriver???

Yes..I understand using images of a subculture to interpret fashion...fashion is just a fantasy. Like art....things can't always be a pretty picture. Life and history are not always something to look back on and smile about...sometimes, life can be difficult and ugly...but I think this collection was contrived from bad taste...and regardless of their interpretation...the "look" is not very socially acceptable, thank god!!!

I would LOVE to see these 2 "designers"...or more appropriately called "stylists" design something that doesn't exist. Comme Des Garcons has been around since the 80's....and the patterns for what they DESIGN...do not exist. She's made jackets that can literally be worn upside-down, etc etc.

Comme doesn't use tacky logos to sell her stuff....she doesn't use pretty boy models to make her clothes look better....she refuses to advertise in magazines...the list goes on and on. She's a PIONEER...she doesn't follow trends....she invents the trends...and everone else...follows..... BEHIND her!!!

This is a designer label catered to an audience who needs over-commercialism...tacky logos and hype to make them feel stylish and fashionable.

yeah. good for you.

i'd still rather look classy and good than like an artsy "pioneer". i have yet to follow Rei's idea of "originial ideas" which most often translates to printed t-shirts, perfumes or unwearable garments.

back on topic:

not liking this. i would wear maybe a max of 5 pieces from this collection, but not for the outlandish prices they charge for which i easily could shop at Ferre.

i don't even think you can compare DSquared and CDG...............
and this is not DSquared's role to do such avant-garde things.....
i'm not really into DSquared.... but I think we should let the place for people like them....

the symbols are too loaded either way, the clothes are wearing you. nice styling tricks activewear with jackets, puffer furs, kind of naive and interesting but not exclusive, anyone can look like this right now without buying a stitch of dsquared2.

^^i have to disagree on the classy and good statement.
as BerlinRocks very well said, there are some labels you just cant compare this with!
i think it's ok to compare this to Cavalli, D&G, Richmond, etc (same target group), but some others just dont work. In order to compare, you need references, things in common...
and besides the men walking up and down the runway, i can't find any between this and a CDG show.

EDIT: SLOW POSTING, I WAS ANSWERING TO MARGIELA MIKE

Marc Jacobs. Ghesquiere. Tom Ford. Theyskens. Valentino. Galliano. those are designers. they create art that can easily be worn.

marc's, nicolas' and galliano's "art" (i would call it an applied art) are not necessarily wearable if you know what i mean,,, :P
