well it explains why she never made it in acting. maybe she just wasn't that good, which is a shame because she had such presence on film

I think she was just great to watch on film, but I totally understand that quote. A performance on stage is just not like beeing in a movie, none of the Warhol movies had a "real" script and it was always Edie, she was the person she always played.
