Grazia Scans

Hey,

I just wanted to thank the person who posted the Grazia scans of Edie. Those are fab!:woot:

Who on here was talking about Ultra Violet's book, and how there is a whole chapter about Edie in it? I have a question about it.....

These pictures are from this thread, but they don't get any bigger. Does anyone have these to post>?

I read this book written by Andy Warhol called The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (from A to B and back again) & he talks about this girl "taxi" which i'm sure is Edie, saying she was from south carolina, was tiny, was bulimic, invented the mini skirt because she would save money by buying little girl's skirts & was the first to wear black tights are part of an outfit, used to hoard bra's and drugs and had a relationship with a famous singer( Bob Dylan), it's like a whole 4 pages about her, it was intresting.

Well Edie was from Massachusetts and California, so who was he talking about?? Anyways, the video on the Girl On fire site is amazing. Her voice was so haunting

oh I have that book! I haven´t read it yet though, I´m gonna get through Edie; American Girl first ^_^
it sounds like Edie... but she didn´t have to save money that much? or? and south carolina sounds weird... but Andy was a little weird B)

She never will look like Edie, no matter how dark she makes her eyebrows or how much make up she wears or how much weight she loses. Edie had a round baby face and Sienna has a sharp skinny face. Sienna's body type is completely different than Edie's.

I'm not as much concerned about the fact that Sienna doesn't look liek her as much as i am about how they will portray the Factory scene and if they're facts will be straight. They're already giving Bob Dylan way to big of a part concidering no ones even sure that they did have a relationship.

But since Edie's husband and Bridget are so involved it will most likely be better than we expect.

i just finished reading the biography (edie: an american biog...) and someone said i would cry like a grandma and that much was true - but the thing that struck me most was the picture of her tombstone in which the engravings were: 'edith sedgwick post, wife of micheal post' and then date of birth and death. i jsut thought that so didnt fit who she was - married to this guy like six months and her inscription was about who her husband was - not about anykind of life that she had led. i sound like a raging feminist here but he wasnt even that large a part of her life, or what she was remembered for so it jsut seemed sad she would be remembered in this way.

such a beatiful picture of edie (the first one) thanxxx for sharing and welcome to tfs rocketqueen707:flower:

Can any Edie-Expert explain me what Edie had to do with Velvet Underground ( one of my very favourite bands! )? Its appreciated.

She was part of the Exloplading Plastic 'show' that danced along with the VU. She would dance, and Gerard would do his 'whip' dance. It wasn't for very long, though. And also, they all hung out at the factory.

Unfinished Thoughts on Edie Sedgwick

She's so cool, I love her. I've always heard her name being a big fan of the 60s and the psycadelic period. And the video from youtube is real cool. I love Edie's style it's so eccentric. She makes me appreciate my love of clothes, shoes, make-up, and accecories and increases that love to the highest extent. But I'm still stuck on the whole Factory Girl thing it makes me cringe to know that the storyline isn't (arguably) based on the actual truth, don't get me wrong I'll still watch it, I'm a Sienna fan for sure, but Edie's grown on me and I think I'll make an effort to buy her biography, watch all her movies, find out anything I can about the factory gang!!! That'd be money well spent. And an excellent indie/independent film I think that'll be my next potential project, one for the Cannes Film Festival,eh?:D

Can anyone tell me where I can watch her movies/documentaries other than on youtube because I already found Poor Little Rich girl, and Outer and Inner Space. Especially Ciao! Manhattan!!!

I bought Ciao! Manhattan on ebay. it´s such a wonderful movie. although it´s a bit sad since she´s so wasted all the time... and that´s not acting... I am reading her biography right now, and that´s what the filmmakers say, she was really spaced out and never learned the script.

does anyone know how i can see poor little rich girl or any other edie movies besides inner/outer space online?

I was basically unfamilar with her until this year with all the buzz of the movie:ninja: But it's great looking through this thread and learning about her.
She has a very versatail face...
pics from www.girlonfire.com

She looks similar to Jennifer Garner here:

And similar to Rachael McAdams here:

I agree ^.

I really understand that the Edie fans are worried about the movie, but the portrayal of Edie's life and the factory should be something to be worried about, not the similarities in looks. I mean, what if it was a horrible portrayal but the main girl looked exactly like Edie? I hope it will do her justice, though, just like the rest of you. :flower:

You took the words str8 out of my mouth. All day I was looking at that Vogue pic and I thought, 'you know she looks like one of the starlets, and I uses that word loosely, of today.' But I couldn't put my finger on it. She does look like Jennifer Garner but not like Rachel McAdams in the other pic. She just looks like marvelous Edie to me in that pic. And to Cookiecake there's a stream of Poor Little Rich Girl on a website called Absentcinema.com all you have to do is click on where it says blog and a list of films come up, Poor Little Rich Girl should be 1st
