I'm like in love with Edie, she's so amazing I just can't get enough of her.

I love her so much, she was so talented and beautiful. I truly dislike Andy for not letting her talent grow, and instead making her an actress of her movies. He cheated her out.
It's such a shame she died so soon :(

^slightly better quality than I posted before

Nah you can't blame it all on Andy, I don't think many ppl know what kind of relationship they had.
Anyway how strange is it to think about what is Edie was still alive, would she be more famous or just a nobody?
Would she be a mother of loads of kids or a real career as an actress or model or whatever?

^ Mean as it sounds, I think it's possible she would have either become completely washed up or she would have faded into obscurity.

Well of course it isn't all his fault, it was her mind, and she could have said no. But I think she was just so messed up, and I think Andy knew that, and knew she'd be driven to the bad stuff. I just think it was a shame that Andy didn't try to stop her. I think it was just the part at the end of the movie, where she finds him at the restaurant, I just think that made me super upset.
I still love his art none the less.

I completely agree with you. it's not like andy was some big hollywood producer or anything either. I mean he barely even directed his own movies.

and stamoholic I agree with you also. it's hard to say since we all care so much for her now, but she was never a giant star, esp after her new york days.

about sofabar's comment: that's one of the reasons I hate factory girl so much. it makes edie out to be so innocent and naive and andy to be an insensitive backstabber.

But maybe thats how it was. No one will really know. I don't know, only they know. Edie was a messed up girl and Andy was a messed up guy, and thats all I have to say.

they were both pretty disturbed you have that right. I just trust what I've read from her friends and family. they're as close to her are we're going to get and seem to have the best insight into her life and her time with andy.

PLEASE don't use Factory Girl to prove any point about Edie's real life.

Okay geez whatever, I'm sorry for having an opinion
Ehm..well I don't think that's what she meant, it's just that the film Factory Girl is more fiction than Lord of the Rings..:innocent: Maybe not but my point is that the was the characters were presented in that film isn't how they were in real life, and I'm pretty much sure about that because the ppl making it didn't have that much information, and didn't take their time to get the information..that's why I would say that Factory Girl is more of a made up story than the biography of Edie Sedgiwck's life

I see your point. I was unaware that the movie was fiction. I guess it's like The Other Boleyn Girl, although some things in the movie are right, not everything is.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The movie is why I became interested in Edie. I'm sure there is some truth to the film; everyone's just a little defensive of Edie as a person and of Andy. A lot of her story is unknown and I'm pretty sure the only people that are aware of what actually transpired between Edie and Andy, are Edie and Andy. Maybe we're not meant to know everything.

That's about the only good that came from Factory Girl, people becoming interested in Edie. But i don't think they should have made a movie about them when so much is unknown. I find it disrespectful to both of them (especially with the bad acting and trashy sex scene! :innocent:)

Yeah I totally know what you mean, but I hope ppl that gets interested in Edie after seeing Factory Girl takes the time to find out at least something true about her...IMO that movie is just some made up cra*p:innocent:
