Erin Fetherston For Target

Is it not obvious that the pictures are played up for press and editorial reasons? If you dress yourself like the model, thats how you will look. You can do that with any of your clothes. Adding your own flair to all clothes makes it you, you can take or leave the babydoll. I think it is a beautiful line, I only hope that Im not disappointed with the quality in person. And especially since the last few GO designs ( not the designers) have been pretty mediocre, I think this looks extremely fun.

i get tired of go designers putting out basic tanks and tees that you can already get through mosimmo and xhileration. i think these collections should be about noticable key pieces. and this new collecton is fun, but i do agree it is like what i saw recently at h&m and forever . . . then again, some more serious go designers in the past have put out items that i looked at and thought i could get at kohls or jc penney.

i do like the red jumper and heart bag so i will probably be looking out for them.

I really like this stuff. Of course I would much rather one of her runway collections be available at Target for cheap. haha. I loved her runway stuff.

I'm within this age range and I wouldn't buy this sh*t. It has crossed the tween line to far. I understand this is her "girly" aesthetic, but it lacks any sophistication!!

I agree. The clothes are an all too literal interpretation of the whole Lolita look. Even when you look at the collection piece-by-piece it reads as a fetish collection with all the bibbed babydoll dresses which are impractical for anyone who isn't actually a child or a club kid. You can't really mix these clothes in with an existing wardrobe.

I'm predicting this will be the GO line's lowest seller. This designer is not well-known enough for people to get past the aesthetic of these clothes and buy them just based on her name.

I just saw this on the Target site.
I really like some of the pieces in this collection but I think some of them definitely do have a little bit of that Forever 21-ish feel that is EVERYWHERE and getting annoying.
But overall, it's pretty cute!

yep

Many of the younger American designers working with target don't even break even, it's saving grace for them. I can imagine it's a similar case with Fetherston.

I would like this collection if it weren't so derivative of the Chloe S/S 2007 collection. The pieces that aren't are atrocious.

thank you, nitrolicious, for the bigger images...
i like the looks of the velvet jacket and pants, and maybe the wool coat. but that's really it for me...

Thanks to those pics from retrogurl I think I may have spotted some pieces that I could actually see myself in-- namely that black velvet blazer, the grey cardigan, the black jumper with the velvet hearts. If that long wool coat were in a darker color I could actually see myself in that too.

sorry if i'm being redundant, but thanks retrogirl! they're awesome! i'm really enjoying this collection more now, and i'm worried about not having any money in november because i want many of those pieces.

Wow. I like this so much more than I thought I would and I agree with the person who pointed out that these pictures are over stylized. The looks would look rediculous on me if I wore them exactly like they look in the looks. That's why I'd mix the pieces with my other clothes and then they wouldn't look to lolita-esque at all

I'm in my early 40s and I like this collection. I'm a real girly-girl, so this collection appeals to me. Now, of course, I'm not crazy. I see some "key / usable" pieces I can add to my warerobe. I can pair these with basic separates I already have to add some "pop" or interest.

I'm seriously thinking about getting the creme bubble coat and the 3/4 black wool heart pocket coat. The Gauze Ruffle-Front Blouse in White, Short-Sleeve Dotted Swiss Tie-Front Tunic in Black (I can rock that with these great wide-leg trouser I have or a pencil skirt), Ruffle-Front Shirt in Cream and the Jacquard Bow Jacket in Black.

Those are the pieces I found, that I thought could work for my age group.
