Julianne Moore, Faith Hill and Eva Mendes bond over baubles (and a good cause) at the Cartier Celebrates Love event held at the Cartier Mansion in New York on Thursday. The women, along with five other celebs, have been named the jewelry company's new LOVECHARITY bracelet ambassadors. Their mission: to raise over $1.2 million for eight global charities this year.
“I've never been so involved or hands-on with a charity,” said Eva Mendes (in Alberta Ferretti) whose navy bracelet will raise funds for The Art of Elysium. “I go to the hospitals, I visit these children and there are no cameras around, there's no press. It's really about the one on one interaction with these children who are fighting debilitating diseases,” said Mendes, who was introduced to the charity by her We Own the Night co-star, Joaquin Phoenix. LOVE was in the air at the Cartier Mansion in New York City when the luxury jewelry house hosted a rooftop dinner to celebrate the second annual LOVE charity bracelet collection and the first-ever international LOVE day. Julianne Moore, Faith Hill, Eva Mendes and Rachel Wiesz were among the conscientious celebrities who unveiled special bracelets in support of their personal causes during an evening of shopping, supping and song.
