This somewhat narrative style is so different compared to Lagerfelds style (for Fendi). It's an interesting change, but I'm not sure if I like it yet.

You kind of have to read (which isn't usually a good sign) into this to like it. Karl's unemotional photography works with this uptight set-up. I just really how remarkably creepy Baptiste is

For once I'm not completely repulsed by Anja's presence. On the contrary, I think she looks stunning. However these shots don't really look like a campaign, more fitting for an ed.

Exactly. I've said it before but the problem with Fendi ads in general is Karl thinking he can take an interesting picture. He can't, really.
There's a great team, a great model and nice set but it just doesn't translate well to the pictures.

i dont necessarily detest the editorial feel of this ad but it's totally gone wrong for this brand imo. this doesn't seem like the best way to highlight their products. the whole things looks very flat and Anja looks like someone who has contracted amnesia and has gone wandering around an empty house. it just fails to hold a story for me and the colors used in the set just makes the clothes disappear more into the background. they should've taken pointers from Missoni Fall2008 who used their prints to their advantage.. strangely enough the luxuriousness of Fendi's pieces fails to translate in the shots here.
