'Blame it on Fidel', or 'La Faute à Fidel' as it's originally named. It's a wonderful, funny and interesting French film. I loved it!

In Spain, there's life beyond Pedro Almodóvar , so I'll recommend you some old movies which in my country are truly classics (sorry, but I don't know the titles in English:(

- El extraño viaje (1964)
- El cebo (1958)
- El espíritu de la colmena (1972)
- El sur (1983)
- El verdugo (1964)
- Plácido (1961)
- Bienvenido Mr. Marshall (1952)
- Los Santos Inocentes (1984)
- La caza (1965)

And I also recommend all Luis Buñuel's movies:

- La edad de oro (1930)
- Los olvidados (1950)
- Él (1953)
- Viridiana (1960)
- El ángel exterminador (1962)
- Belle de jour (1967)
- Tristana (1960)
- El discreto encanto de la burguesía (1972)

if you are a sucker for girly, best friend movies, japan does some nice ones
'Hana & Alice' was adorable! both main actresses did a great job
'Kamikaze Girls' was hilarious. it has alot of japanese cult reference, so if you are not familiar with sweet lolitas or yakuzas, should search up on those before you watch the movie.
'Nana' was a manga turned movie...movie. not bad...but like an ex-nana fan, i thought the manga was better.

i really want to watch 'Naissance des pieuvres'!!!

well , La Vie En Rose .... Marion Cotilliard just won an Oscar for it.

... seeing the trailers , i had a feeling , she should/will win by a shocker. indeed she did. her portrayal of Edith Pilaf was jawdropper.
