Gareth Pugh S/S 2013 Paris

I want to marry this collection and have lots of babies in it.

I think this describes how much I love it and how much I would wear it. I'm really not into red clothing but I would rock those total-red outfits.

add me to the list of people who are surprised to be saying that they like this collection...
it's hard to deny the elegance of the lines and the execution...

he's really matured and shown restraint with this show...

good for him...
:flower:

Nice but he lost that certain something long time ago!!

Completely agree, the moment he moved to Paris he seemed to force this sense of commercialism into his collections as if he were trying to rise above the fashion as theatre narrative, whereas unfortunately it was this aspect for me as it was with many that made him so appealing and gave us the desire to buy into his point-of-view.

I used to look forward to Gareth as I would McQueen or Galliano. But will now often overlook these slick presentations that do very little for me!

What is happening to this industry?! Do we now need somewhere else to escape too?

ugh, it disgusts me that he chose a point of inspiration i can't say no to: Japan and Kimonos.

i can't even hate on any of the looks! (except for those veils, which seemed unnecessary)

now i need to take a shower

One word: INCREDIBLE!!!!

This is the first time I liked very much a Gareth Pugh collection! All the looks looked completely flawless and unbelievably beautiful! I hope he makes more collections like this!

i adore this!
i always liked his collections, but somehow other collections seemed more remarkable to me during paris fashion week. his collections, for me, were always 'drowned' by cdg, margiela, yamamoto, dries, haider ackermann and all the others i look forward to when fashion week starts, but this time it'll be different, i think. a standout collection!

(but then again, there's so much more to come within the next couple of days, so lets see... :D)

For his past few collections I've been quite unsure about the direction that Gareth was going. I've always seen something special in his vision, but I hadn't really felt a strong connection with what he was presenting. This collection has completely changed my mind. It is so much more sophisticated, refined, yet still maintains the GP vision. I love the makeup, veils and needle hair pins, they almost look like halos. The beautiful draped necks and soft flowing dresses are just amazing. His use of leather that is delicate, elegant yet still strong is really nice to see.

The bell bottom ruffles do look stunning on the runway and are such an interesting concept combining pants and delicate flowing ruffles like a dress. Though in general I'm not so fond of all the ruffles. In an interview Gareth mentioned how he was influenced by Spain and the flamenco, and you can really see the strength and elegance that dance entails in this collection.
