Givenchy S/S 2013 by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

another b&w campaign? it only works for Dior because its so bland and expected givenchy is too creative for b&W

This is just plain lazy. I'm displeased at how the second model just looks like he was picked off the street and thrown into a studio. The styling could have been better as well.

wow wow wow i cant even at this that baby being more successful that me and not even six years old i love it like she will never NOT be perfection in givenchy

LOVE!! Very strong even with the innocence touch of Marialucas!

Mariacarla's shot is magnificent. This photo alone is enough for this campaign to be an unforgettable one!

It has everything in it that fashion has been missing the last several years - personality, innocence, soul and love. Fashion should always be about WHO is wearing it. We've lost that important fact in this age of street style and blogging stars who pile on every IT item humanly possible to hide the fact that, on the whole, they're dull, uninteresting and sad people. All I see here is a proud, radiant mother holding her newborn and photographed in such a way that there is nothing gimmicky or objectified about it. It all looks so natural and so genuine!

That shot of MCB and her baby is freaking gorgeous. Love the sleek/bold feel of these images. Striking & full of attitude without being too 'in your face'.

Probably one of the best posts I've ever read on tfs. Couldn't agree more.

the picture is good for a editorial not to campaign and remember me to much to Gucci FW2003 by Mario Testino

I'm quite sick with black and white picture.

Maybe I'm too accustomed to the colorful, synthetic ads.. These just do nothing for me yet, right now, but I need to see more shots with Kate. At least I'd love to see them in print soon.

It's a really beautiful portrait. It may not be appropriate for a campaign but that doesn't make it any less striking.

That's the first thing I thought of as soon as I saw it. The recent Gucci resort campaign looks similar to Testino's work from 00-05 too.
Seems like M&M have moved on from Bourdin/Newton and on to different territory. Wonder what the rest of the campaign is going to look like.

So far so... boring

why baby again?i am not surprised then its styled by Carine Roifeld and she does have this baby fetish

Well that's Mariacarla's daughter! it makes sense to me since its supposed to be a campaing of friends and family, idk. i love that shot anyway

Mariacarla's shot is amazing! There is this power and innocence that just radiates from it. Very soulful.
Now I really can't wait to see Kate's shot.

My sentiments exactly, I was waiting for this to be mentioned.

Mariacarla's shot is indeed beautiful and powerful but I could have done without the baby. Although then, I guess it would have just been another black and white shot for a fashion advert. I'm hoping the campaign concept becomes clear as more pictures surface.
