^I've read the books, but I absolutely prefer the show... probably because of the fantastic cast they have... come on... when reading the books you'd never imagine Chuck to be as handsome as Ed is
^^I haven't read the books either, but I've heard a little something about Chuck in the books and, Boomer, I dare say you would not like it...
Well even the thought of a monkey was about enough- and then I heard something about he might like guys, too!! I have nothing against all of that if that is your thing- but this is Chuck Bass we're talking about!!

Yeah Boomer you might not like it cause there's no Blair and Chuck.
The books have always been about the love triangle between Blair, Serena and Nate.
Nate and Chuck are nothing like their tv counterparts.
Spoilers -
The last book released was kind of a "special" and it was closer to the show. It's was set over 3 seperate Xmas/New Years with them all in College. Serena went with Dan, Vanessa got a new older bf, Nate was with Jenny, Blair gave up on Nate and went with Chuck but by the third New Years, Dan and Vanessa dumped Serena and her bf and got back together, Jenny dumped Nate and Blair dumped Chuck and it was back to the love triangle. Nate still wouldn't bloody chose one of them so Serena chose Blair instead and they both went off to Europe together leaving Nate behind.
It's wasn't as enjoyable as the others in the series. Jenny's It girl series is good. Her enemies are way worst than Blair.

Leighton Meester: Gossip costumes can be embarrassing
Leighton Meester worries people think she's "crazy" when they see her walking around in her Gossip Girl costumes.
The actress plays queen bee Blair Waldorf in the American drama series, which is filmed and based in New York. The show is famed for the outfits the characters wear, and as someone who takes an interest in the catwalk Leighton enjoys having the opportunity to dress up.
However, she is less keen on some of the comments her flamboyant costumes attract. "It's fun to dress up, much better than having boring clothes, but it can be challenging because I know I have to walk down the street in a ball gown sometimes," she explained. "People point at me and say 'Who is that crazy person?' I just have to try and ignore it."
Leighton has previously admitted her personal style is very different to Blair's. She loves the way her character is always so polished and fashionable, but in her own life prefers to be more comfortable.
The actress has picked up some tips from being on the show though, namely that it's good to mix high-end and cheaper pieces to create a signature look.
"It doesn't always have to be the same all the time," she said. "Of course my character has, like, really great taste, but sometimes they'll throw in something from H&M, and it looks great. So there are really no rules."

#451...oh Vanessa...when her carachter is going to be shot down?!?her fashion is awful and after 3 years her role in the plot is still useless...
^ That isn't in Paris, it's NY- although there were no filming permits so I am guessing that is outside of their studio in Queens- they may have been shooting interior scenes...
