Goyard bags / luggage

Ooh! I like that a lot! :woot:

I'm still undecided about which bag to get to monogram...

Does anyone here have the ambassade? I tried it on in the shop because it seemed like a good work bag, but it was just too big. Now reconsidering...

Check out this customized wallet, guys

I guess skulls are even making their way onto Goyard bags... I kinda like the contrast :)

Thanks Vintage and Spiral :flower:

I totally want a white St. Louis.....but I just happened to show my mom the bag I wanted and she freaked. It was along the lines of " A thousand dollars for a bag?! Are you insane? Are-You-In-Sane?!"

Have to wait till I move out

I'm loving the skull personalization! Wonder how a black skull would look on the white pattern ... maybe too fierce, but a light grey skull might be cool. Must start saving up!

Luxx,
How are you finding your white croisiere now that you've had it for a couple weeks? Do you feel you need to be extra careful with the white (esp'ly handles)?

exquise, you are correct. My husband & I were in SF a couple of weeks ago and I was shocked to see Goyard there. I talked to the SA named Eli...he is the only full time sa there and he was so inviting and informative. He gave me the whole run-down and history of the company and was very very very nice. didn't buy a bag that day...but it's definately on my wish list.

Eli is so nice! :D He makes you want to buy Goyard even if you didn't know you wanted Goyard. The store is beautiful and the bags are lovely. We had our dog with us (stayed at the Westin St. Francis) and they even gave him a treat.

i saw some guy (in paula abdul's entourage i guess  ) in a paula abdul candid shot with a goyard ambassade with the skull on it (trust me, that bag belongs to a better owner--me?). i thought he did it himself, but i guess you can order them like this? so awesome! i want one even more now

I still love it. I do feel that I have to be careful though but I think I'd feel that way about any white bag. The Goyard does clean off with soap and water, which is amazing in my book and takes alot of the worry away. It still looks like new and I've been wearing it quite often.

Thanks Brian!

Sigh... I really want one! The bag doesn't look big on him, but of course he's probably 1.5 ft taller than I!

I want to get a red or blue croisiere 35, does anyone know how long it takes to have it customize if I get one from Barneys?

Still undecided if I actually want to have stripes done. What color combos would look good on red, or should I just leave it alone. TIA

Bagsnob, just like anyone else, is entitled to their own opinion. I've finally ventured into the SF bouqitue the other day and am now contemplating on getting a white croisiere 35 as a spring/summer/travel hand tote. Actually I did consider the orange version but now think that the white would look so much more chic! My only question is what is the universal opinion of the white croisiere 35 against a light-tanned complexion? Yay or nay? This would be my first white bag ever - thus the hesitance. But its saving grace is the longevity, quality craftsmanship and low-maintenance.

Bryanboy - if you're listening, which do you reach for the most - amongst your three fabulous croisieres? TIA!

^ & another thing - this is the only high-end brand I know that will survive both the heat & humidity of Asia. Have you ever seen Epi leather "melt" under 80 degree temperature & high humidity? And that was their winter!

I would say yay all the way on white with a light tanned complexion. I think white looks best with a tan light or dark. It just makes the white stand out even more. Go for it, you will not regret it at all!

I LOVE my white croisiere! I'm having difficulty using my red one. In fact, I've only used it twice. The white croisiere suits everything. In this hot/humid country I live in, I'm limited to wearing tanks and tees + jeans and the white one is my absolute favourite.

I get MANY, MANY, MANY comments from people telling me how gorgeous the bag is.

I'm contemplating about getting a black one too but I think it's gonna be overkill. Hah! I'm staying away from bags in the next few months... and to think, fall/winter 06/07 is approaching soon...

^ Thank you so much... White croisiere it is then! LOL - I can always count on my expert fashionistas to help me out!

I just got back from Paris, where my hotel was conveniently situated right near the Goyard store! I bought a red fidji bag and it's great (and so much cheaper than in the US!). I maybe would've bought a medium sized tote instead but they didn't have any in stock so I went with fidji. Probably better anyway, since it zips close. Plus my Balenciaga day bag is my favorite bag and the fidji is a very similar silhouette. I'm all jetlaggy -- I'll take pics when I'm feeling a little more photogenic...
