Gucci S/S 09 Milan

i need to see more, though i am not impressed by what's shown so far.

i am sure the shoes are going to be a big hit. they seem to always do well in the accessories department.

I like the look of that turquoise dress. And those black shoes are tdf.

I don't like the rest of it.
But the thing is - I don't detest it - It doesn't rouse anything in my enough for me to express much feeling for it.
The reason I don't like it is because it's just nothing - there is nothing original or exciting about it. And i've seen tonnes of collections like this. So it's not exceptionally bad.

what more time do they need to be convinced that her designing "talent" is wrong for gucci??

even the bags look totally cheap.....

Is it just me or this is very Versace S/S 2008?
Specially that coat on #105

It is very sad that Gucci used to be highlight of all the fashion weeks but now is what kills it for me.

The shoes and the hair are amazing!!!!

And the clothes of #105 looks like Tom Ford times.

I think there ought to be more blues in this collection, like the great blue dress we saw in the first post

And I haven't seen any accessories that really caught my eye

WOW.... with all the comments i thought you guys would actually love this collection

WELL FOR ME..... I LOVVE ITTTTT MANNNNNNNNNN i dont care whether Frida has talent or not but i just think this collection is great!!!!!!!

i need to see pictures from the entire collection so badly before i can sleep. it's very late in the night over here..

There was an article that came out , which said Gucci is losing its fashion cache to LV , because its not as innovative and cutting edge as it was , it was coasting on Tom Fords " good will" till recently but Louis Vuitton has eaten into much of its clientele.

Also, gucci's president and chief executive officer Mark Lee is stepping down Dec. 31. It's on WWD but I can only access the article from school and I'm at home right now. But anyways, things are definitely not good at Gucci.

I don't think Gucci needs Tom Ford but they need someone who understands what Gucci is. Gucci is supposed to be about luxury and until Frida understands that Gucci's numbers will continue to suffer. There is nothing luxurious about this collection. The fabrics, the cuts, trimming, details, NOTHING. H&M, Top Shop and Forever 21 could probably knock this off by the end of the week and have it out on the floor and windows by next week.
