Once again, Gucci is a hit-or-miss.... the stuff is starting to head toward miss with the new accessories designer. I was pleasantly surprised when looking at the shoes, but some of these handbags are beyond horrible. I can see where the happy floral inspirations and exotic leathers would appeal to some people, but that's just not me at all. If I see one more spread in Elle or Vogue about Crocodile/Snakeskin/Alligator bags that is shot in the sand with grass, I'll puke. Even the SS05 monogram bags leave a lot to be desired - and what's with the drawstring sacks?

Very bad...the ostrich drawstring looks like something one could buy at the Florence leather market.

I love the colors of these velvet bags, but then they added all the studs and the tortoise buckles and made it very tacky looking. They would have been perfect with a simple brown leather trim.

And then there were two evening bags that were kind of pretty...

Other then that it was a case of two extremes, either extremely overdone and overdecorated or extremely average. Very disappointed by the accessories this season overall. There aren't a whole lot of pieces that I loved in the collection and that's a first for Gucci.

Not liking these at all. :(

they are either way too ornate or way too plain...

i like some of the spring bags. this one is really nice..and HUGE..i could carry it if i wanted to :p

i love the detail on this one. i'd want/carry it if it were just a tad bigger with a longer strap.

that strap reminds me of a more adorned version of my chloe covent garden bag...

those bags look so vintage, but in a rather cheap way....i do like some pieces, like the one posted by brian, but the rest is just not really appealing to me.
but maybe they look better in reality, i'll have to see....

Some of them looked like they could have been good....and then they weren't !

i think the monogramed ones look kinda like coachs signature vintage series they had fall 04, and the other ones are kinda like prada's stuff last year. the one brian posted looks alittle too arts and crafts to me and whatever they are asking for it, i wouldn't pay because you could get something imported from southern asia, indonesia for way cheaper and it'd look very similar.

I  this bag too and was thinking the same thing about the size and strap. I really wish it was a tad bigger.

The green and red look like ripoffs of LV :yuk:
And that large tapestry-esque sac with the bamboo handle would have been okay if it hadn't been copied from Balenciaga's suede version
