It was just amazing  His vision for the house is perfect

Straight out of hipster kiddo paradise. Can't wait to see those glasses on all the artsy fartsy peeps here in Berlin.

There were some nice pattern mixes and some fun quirkiness going on, but other than that not much to write home about in my opinion. The show itself bored me to tears. I never thought I'd wish for Frida's ooomph! to come back.

Can anybody give me a heads up on how this new direction ties in with the Gucci customer sales wise?

It's supposed to be doing really well, sales-wise...

As for the casting, it's tremendously effective. A lot of new faces that I haven't seen in NY. Helps the show to feel more special or exclusive, in a way.

The clothes themselves look full of too many gimmicky little details.

I love this so much. Pretty much like a new Gucci statement.

I fully understand why this is successfull and while there's a couple things here and there that i like, it's so terribly trendy and contrived - not to mention, mostly messy - that i can't be interested in any of this.

Adore these Budhi beauties, new menswear looks for this collection work just as great. Absolutely stunning color scheme also. It's hot cake on the road.

i am really warming to the new gucci now

however, i do not like how it's styled to make the girls look geeky. i would not want to look like them...so in that aspect, it's not very "cool" (what frida was good at)

He seems to be refining his vision at Gucci with each passing season, which is great. However, I still think that he's got a long ways to go. The Gucci girl is still too precious - the more cutesy he got with the clothes, the more it looked odd and awkward (exaple: the pastel transparent dresses, or that blouse with the huge pink bows). There needs to be some subtle grit and/or sexiness inserted into the mix, to cleanse the palate. (That second outing, the red kimono skirt with the high slit? That was amazing and I wish there was more stuff like that in the collection.)

That actually sounds really negative, but I don't dislike this in the slightest. I like it, but there's still a lot of room for improvement. Alessandro already has a clear vision and a knack for detail and vibe. In a few years, he'll be unstoppable.
