Ooooh. That's tough. You look great in both and both are gorgeous. But if I HAD to choose, I'd say the Lolli dress would probably be more appropriate. It's a little more grown up and a little less disco. Good luck in your choosing! BTW, I LOVE PURPLE too!!!

I want to say both since they're both gorgeous on you with your height. The tights and shoes are great too, it's all very glam. I think the shoes work better with the first dress, however, I also think that look is so much more of a statement. Hope this helps!

Both look great on you, but I would go with the Lolli. It is more minimal and somehow in this case I think less is more.

What to wear to a masquerade ball

we are having this masquerade ball/dinner for graduation. it's still a few months left but there's lots of planning to do and i was just wondering if there are any masquerade (such as clothes, masks etc) related sites/shops? and if you have any suggestions on what to wear?

Have you tried looking at pix of the famous Black & White Ball for inspiration?

shabby chic

i have to go to an invitation with theme "shabby chic"
can anyone suggest me about how to dress?
or a background or any info about this style?

i hope i'm not in the wrong sub :p

TIA

shabby chic to me is wooden furniture with peeled off paint in delicate colors.. things with a bit of patina, that 'worn in and loved'-feeling.. Things that excuses cosyness and 'loveliness' rather than money and class..

It's a romantic look - I'd go with some vintage lace dress in a country style..

..or something in broderie anglaise.. as long as it's not super sharp and minimalistic.. avoid black!

scour vintage stores for what jumps out at you. worn and loved is a great way to put it, hanne. these themes also come to mind; softly textured, earthy and slightly distressed.

to me, key elements would be a great skirt, maybe some mary-jane type shoes or socks with boots. not the bag lady look but more vintage.

oooh that's great ideas! thanks girls

how bout these?

shabby chic always makes me think of Blumarine ads - very romantic and lazy...
both of these are by Tim Walker
