So generic, so drab, so uninteresting... this is going to cause me to day drink before lunchtime.

Nice ! I love the bags and the shoes. The clothes look good, but I'm sure she can do even better ! Go Nadège :D !

Whoa I thought it was wonderful. Sensible, practical. Like a cleansing of all the maximalism that is around this season. Not a big statement, just beautiful clothes.

Exactly as I expected. Useless.

There is nothing here that is even remotely interesting. It's Zara, basically.

I can't even say I'm disappointed, because this is not even surprising. I knew it'd look like this.

It's indeed very basic/dull and feels like it's designed for old, not fashionable women, boring!

Sensible pandering to the 1%.

She's come in with a fit, a palette and a sensibility that feels as if it has always been there. Echoes the clean lines and understated ostentatiousness of her label mate Nichanian.

I think she did a very good first collection for Hermès. Nothing really surprising or risky, but the clothes are beautiful, and the accessories are great too. I expect more for the next seasons but this is still very nice.

Maybe the weakest debut collection by any designer at Hermes.
What i loved about Hermes appointments was the fact that they believed in personality instead of trends. Let's face it, the Hermes womens RTW customer is very bourgeoise and doesn't go at Hermes for trendy clothes.
At Hermes, it's always about clean lines, great materials & great details.

This is so "on trend" and yet without soul. Margiela was a purist and the strengh of his clothes was in the details (trompe-l'oeil, raw materials) and it was very inventive. It was said that it was the 0° of fashion.

Gaultier was a little bit more "fashion" but he used the heritage of the brand and what it represents and then worked with it. He was maybe the most creative and fun.

Lemaire explored something that wasn't necessary very Hermes which was the "travel" dimension and made something very realistic but also dreamy about it.

This is just clothes in expensive materials and it's just boring.
Hermes is very exclusive and we all know the level of quality their products have.
I hope she will push it a little more next season.

I agree this was boring but comparing it to Zara shows you totally miss the point with Hermes.

It's a true luxury house, the wonder is not in the immediate novelty of a runway look but in the quality and detail. This customer buys Loro Piana and Brunello Cucinelli. Trust me, these clothes are as far removed Zara does as can be.

The woman who buys Hermes RTW could not give a hoot about fashion. She's also older, plumper, and a bit conservative. Vanhee showed a lot of nice things for her to wear, though I didn't need the staging of a runway show to enjoy them.
