I've never done it myself, but I've always thought it was cute. And a good way to keep your feet warm in the winter.

If you mean little frilly white socks à la Traci Lords, I think it can be fun if you go conservative with the rest of the outfit. Anything more and it's too New Wave Hookers.

MIU MIU did them attached to the boots.

GINA has some shoes that look like socks attached to them too.

i think its ok if you can pull off the whole look. but overall i find it ugly unless you can only see the sock for the sake of having a flashy color. but covered with a pair of jeans

My fave combo is white pumps with chunky fuschia socks. Too bad it's winter, I can't really wear that right now....
