^^^ thats low rise still lol......anything above 9 inches comes in the higher waisted category. 9-10.5 (mid rise ie at waist ) >10.75 (high waist)

pinktink and saladgoesfat, i think cheap monday has some black high waisted jeans for a pretty good price. if you get them. make sure to go a size up...i thought i was a 27 (a size 3 i guess) but i BARELY got my poochy tummy in it. haha. but i was at urbanoutfitters, and this girl was wearing some black high waisted skinnies and it was really cute!

has anyone got their hands on a pair of 18th amendments yet? i really want the bacalls!

apple bottoms :)

Umm, apple bottom does not refer to the long, flat *** look. Apple bottom refers to women that are built like Mary J Blige (especially), or Ciara...

Long ***es, wide ***es, etc. do not constitute "apple bottoms". :(

I'm just saying.

does anyone know where I can purchase the diesel high waist jeans, the ones from their current 2007 ad? I've looked everywhere and cannot seem to find them

Hey jessie77us, I'm a manager at Diesel, so I've got the scoop on these infamous jeans:t
they are from the runway collection, which can be very difficult to get your hands on. I would recommend calling Diesel Santa Monica and Diesel New York. The jeans run about $700.

Thanks LoveInColor! You have restored my sanity :flower:

You must have a flat stomach to pull off this jean, i would think? I love it on a short torsoed, long legged woman.

NOT all high waisted jeans are like that......I was in high school in the late 70s...they had high waist apple bottom jeans , with darts in the shape of an apple before nelly bastardized the look with his own spin. They were known as apple bottoms .

This is so true,i have a pretty flat stomach and still it seems to emphasis any fat thats there at all. i thought they'd kind of act as a corset:p

Erm, no  It is certainly NOT low rise. They cover my belly button. I wouldn't call that low rise. And who decides that it's 9" excactly? :flower:

IF ITS COVERING YOUR BELL BUTTON ITS HIGH WAISTED FOR SURE , NOT 8 inches!! I would say 11 inches . Well these measurement are standard measurements ...nordstroms has good charts....but relative to the rises out there i would say anything above 9.5 inches comes in the higher waisted category(which includes regular rises ive noticed)...like those topshop k jeans , are dubbed as "high waisted " , but in reality they are regular rise jeans with a 10 inch rise.

I wonder what an inch is in cm :ninja:

But surely, you can't declare that anything less than 9" is low waisted. That's not how it works.
