This is so true,i have a pretty flat stomach and still it seems to emphasis any fat thats there at all. i thought they'd kind of act as a corset

They do on me Maybe it's because there is little or no stretch in mine?

miss selfridge higher waisted wide leg jeans

i found these of miss selfridge , i like the shade and stitching better than the topshop K jean........they are cheaper too...i wonder why...i am really excited about this jean type ...its like when skinny jeans came out 3 years back...these would look really bad *** with python stiletto platforms and skinny tshirt or tank

These are one of my favorite styles lately (I don't own any higher than "regular rise" just yet).. but it seems like the jeans have to be VERY well-tailored. Some are too tight at the top button and poof everything out, while others that are slim down the waist even everything out. So it seems like they have to have a longer zipper and preferrably, more buttons.

I really like the ones Mischa Barton wore in the pictures a few pages back, not too high and dark wash. Sass & Bide, but what style name? Thanks!

higher waists actually suck in the fat.....esp with cross weaves in the front....so you dont have fat spilling out...esp this applies to pear shaped bodies ...

mischa barton has very wide hips....she looks bad in skinnies...you got to have boyish hips ...that girl looks like she gave birth already esp with those hips...sorry for getting of topic but its true.....

ahhh NO......a high waist skinny jeans are THE hardest to pull off , you really have to have a good height , slim hips (cause skinnies make your hips look larger) , which also also be accentuated by the high waist ,so since there is no straight or wide leg to draw the attention downwards...if you have the body to pull it off .......great.... hips are sexy but if you look like you have hips so big that look like youve given birth to a village...it loses its sexiness

the outfit is really neat, is has this weird effect on what the pants look like, you cant even really tell its high waisted at first, it just looks like she tucked her shirt in.
but charlottes pant's arent high waisted, just the shirt tucked in, but it looks so amazing, like an effortless cool and sexy look, i wish i could be like that. lol

i think someone mentioned earlier about the H&M ones, but i went to H&M and they were sold out. but i got myself a pair of levi ones. i think grey ant has some.

it depends person to person , i find high waisted skinnies esp the corset ones remind me of medieval court jesters..i think it depends on your personality, mood on a certain day and lifestyle , a rocker chic would go for the high waist skinny , while say a non chalant college girl would go for the wider leg. Or one day you want to channel joan jett on tour or lauren hutton walking down 7th ave .

oh goodness--i don't like the corset ones. i just prefer wide legs to be lowslung and slouchy. i was thing like the acne tubes---but i really don't think mischa's hips are bad. many skiny girls have no shape. i think her figure has gorgeous proportions. very femme .

she is totally cute , she would look hot in a high waist skirt but high waist skinny jeans...HEEEYLL NO...you cant have wide hips to pull off skinnies ,i was thinking of someone else other than Fergie who looked good in high waist skinnies... but trust me that girls got hips ...i tell ya...anyways im love in with those choeish jeans....with a 10 inch regular rise..

has anyone tried on the sass and bides high waisted jeans?> they are not super high..but im worried about the sizing- as a friend told me it runs small and we both usually wear 26 in jeans and she told me she tried on the 27 and it was too tight!! anyone know?
