High Waisted Jeans #1

ive noticed that everyone says for small girls that high waist looks good. what about leg width for the high waisted jeans? my proportions are about the same as Rachel Bilson. You know not like super skinny and lanky. just petite all around. But Ive always heard that if you're short to stay away from Flared jeans cause it makes you look shorter. so... yeah.

i'm fairly sure that there's a difference between flared (bootcut to bellbottoms) and wide leg. Wide leg is relaxed through the thigh. personally, i don't think the highwaisted jeans looked good on bilson.

I think this style is flattering on a wide variety of shapes. but these jeans are like any other style. You have to try on dozens of pairs until you find the right one for you!

Sorry if I missed this, but what brand are Rachel Bilson's? She looks so put-together and effortlessly chic.

petite girls can do high waists with ease , just wear heels for one , and secondly make sure you have a jean which is fitted on the thigh. Actually they are good for short girls , you can wear heels , no one will ever no. My cousin , wears heels and flares all the time , since people started calling her tall lol...

btw with any jean you have to try lots of pairs , i tried 30 skinny jeans before settling on siwy and with higher waisted jeans , i tried like 10 at that time , before settling on jbrands malik jean.

i'm still unsure about this trend..
rachel bilson does look quite cute though..

3 of the best high waisted looks ive seen...
probably the only women ive seen pull this off...
eva fontanelli (pictured in 2 of them) does this so well..
although the jeans are probably a bit too high imo...
but the trousers are perfect...

that girls hair is so damn cute!! Im really dying for a pair of Karen Walkers - i think someone posted a pic earlier in this thread- but can seem to find them anyone. I think its really hard to find the right fit if you have a small waist and a bit of a bum because they generallly do small waist small bum ratio.. lol anyone else had this problem?

yep...actually i have that problem all the time...
with regular jeans...
i have a very very small waist...
and a more voluptuous bum...
so they 'gape'...

it is probably more of a problem with high waisted jeans too...
i dont think they're going to flatter my body...

I actually think they are more flattering than low waisted jeans. Not too high but like right above the hip bones makes your legs seem longer and waist smaller. I really cant believe though that Im actually hunting for a pair, I remember when i was younger and mum would tell me that about high waisted pants and I use to shiver.. lol how times change!!

lol...they look all ugly to me , and this is about high waisted jeans not pants . The last ones are attrocious . THats a 14 inch rise man! The ones kate bosworth is wearing looks ok , surprisingly its the same one mischa wore , but kate wore it better , those are 12 inch. I like the ones Rbil wears they are just right a decent 9.5-10 inch rise , so it sits just below your waistline .

I bought an other pair yesterday .. not super high like my others .. just more waist height rather then hips ... and i must confess i love them as they feel way more flatering .. i dont need to wear a belt with them or feel i need to pull them up when i bend over etc like low waist ones .. plues they are better for fat days i think im a fan :)

i like the wide-legged dark version, didn't come along the right pair yet...
not sure if the corset version works for me:

well there's no need to be so harsh...
what is ugly to one is something else entirely to another...

anyway...i was just sharing my own personal view....
i think these 3 looks are some of the best i've seen...
