has anyone tried the retro fit from victorias secret yet? i ordered them last week....wish they came in a daker wash, but i'll see if this even works, considering i have big hips...

be patient, they're lsiting all the key wardobve on ebay...i betcha they'll pop up...seems they've been using a lot of vintage and handmade items for the movie costumes, so they may just be an awesome pair of vintage

Oh don't you worry, I've been checking the ebay store every day now since they listed those first auctions to see if that outfit will come up! I'd be fine with a similar-looking pair though; I will let they uber-obsessed Evan Rachel Wood fans pay an arm and a leg for that outfit if it does show up.

By the way, good eye on the Retro jeans from Victoria's Secret ... I actually like them very much and just might order a pair ...

Grey Ant makes the hottest high-waisted jean w/ braided detail around the waist. I wear the hell out of mine and love the way they make me look: long and lean like a 70's foxy lady!!

i don't usually do levi's unless they're vintage, but the new 471 red label are very cute

eek! just got my VS retro jeans and they're fricken perfect. in the ads, they look like a light wash like those chloes up top....which i wasn't all that pleased about and thought if they were too light, they'd end up going back...but it turns out they're a deep indigo wash. LOVE IT! the fit is really good too and there's a big fat inseam, so they're nice and super long (often i have issues with jeans being too short on me). the waist is a little big, but i have a rather large difference between my hips and waist ratio, and i think it's better being a bit big than too tight. i ordered an 8, my hips are 38, waist 26. i probably could have done a size 6...maybe i'll order another pair

if you're looking for a nice pair, i'm giving these a big thumbs up. they're cheap too: $59.50 or thereabouts....

You're tempting me ... I just hate ordering clothes online, especially pants - I like to try stuff on before I buy ... I wish VS carried their clothes in store Glad you love yours though! I'd love to see pics if you can post them

'll post some pics later today. im totally with you though, as far as mail order clothes and especially jeans. normally if im in store shopping, only about 2-3 out of 20 jeans i try on actually fit.and i dont have any decent stores around me anywhere, just a target, ross, macy's, sears, and nordstroms rack. it really sucks....so generally i have to shop online. the nice thing about VS is that return shipping is only $4....so i dont feel like im at a huge loss if things dont work out for me...

i checked them out a long time back , looking at them a second time , they loook really classy , and different and they sit at the waist so they arent too high waisted. The shade is nice too. please post the pix...im a size 6 would like to see the pix.

update: well, when i got these, they had this lil' tag saying to 'wash before wearing' because of the 'dye process'....well, just as a test, i rubbed a white sock on them to see how bad it was....EEK! the color rubs off pretty bad....so i washed them, thinking it'd get rid of he excess color and whatnot....did it work? hell no....the color bleed on a white sock is just as bad .....i dunno if i should try to set the dye in them somehow or just return them....any opinions???

well it happens all the time with dark blue jeans ...it takes 2-3 washes from personal experience. IF the fit is good keep em still but if after 2-3 washes , its still a problem return them if you can but i doubt after washing they will accept it . I have had jeans which have colored my legs blue lol....its not that big a deal lol.

wow! okay...well...smurf-land here i come cause the fit is really nice...it just sucks that i cant wear any light colored shirt tucked in with them...i wonder if i wash them with some vinager or something...

I'm 5'2... and I don't really think high-waisted jeans work on me unforunately.

i want to buy some but its really hard to find some that fit me because my hips are rather large compared to my tiny waist..
