^^^^ who told you that ....that sooooooooo in correct , the point of them is to lengthen legs , grab a pair 2-3 inch heels and wear em, my cousins wear em and they are petite, they actually like the fact they can look taller and hide their height in heels , with low rise skinnies and boot cuts they cut you in half , this visually elongates you.

It still feels a bit weird to wear something besides skinnies though. It's been so long since I've owned a pair of bell bottoms.

Im Canadian too but live in the US , more power to the Canadian dollar it was low for such a long time . You look good and refreshing since every other girl wear low rise skinnies looking like EMO clones lol , Im sure you will be a trend setter in Montreal . I bought into the skinny jean craze in 2005 , wore them till 2006 end and realized , it was over rated , over done , uncomfortable and they look only good on teenaged girls honestly , so I moved onto Jbrand Malik jeans , which are awesome day to day jeans , and very comfy. I wear that a lot .

You like nice in the trouser jeans , I didnt look good and I found the fitting to be really off when I tried the Levis trouser E jean, which happens with me and Levis jeans

i think the levi's look more of the part as a trouser than the jbrand. maybe the jbrand should be longer.

Thank you. The fit is off a bit for me as well. The waist is huge, and I haven't had them taken in yet. So I've been wearing belts quite often lately.

I think its a perfect length ,she looks perfect and the fit of jbrand is awesome , i have to say. Express has a new high waist jean , its on their website the fit is damn good ,I suggest trying that out. I think the JBrand's look nice, they are a good length...but to look more like a trouser I think what it needs is to be wider through the thigh.

Hi Everyone,

So, I'm just a bit curious...is this trend picking up steam in the States yet? I've yet to see anyone wearing these here, and I'd only heard about Ciara wearing these (and wearing them well) and Scarlett Johnasson, once. What gives?

Back in NYC, I saw one woman wearing them (horribly), but outside of that, I saw low-riders everywhere...I'm quite curious.

I'd love to wear a pair that aren't too high, but my hips are so narrow, I'm worried...

i am trying to find the perfect pair of shoes to wear with mid-high rise skinny/straight jeans. I thought maybe ballet flats but will that make my legs look squat?

Well Kate moss is wearing Superfine sailor trouser jeans and looking effind fabulous these days , and whatever that woman wears the whole world follows 2 years later. I have seen a lot of wide leg jeans pop up but not high waisted trouser jeans or high waist skinnies, the look is very new , by the 2008 ,it will be very mainstream , its in the process since people are looking at cautiously , the same way people looked at skinnies in 2005. To be honest I think skinny jeans IMO are meant for teenagers and rockers and the whole jeans tucked in boots look is sooo overdone

they are straight---not skinny. if you look carefully---the denim falls straight down from the knee. does that change any shoe advice?

(i also hate the jeans in boots thing and ankle boots thing. in nyc, its EVERYWHERE)

Personally I don't like the kind of jeans that are tight until knee and then really wide on the bottom, too much like 1999-2000 for me. I prefer the ones that are loose from the beginning and are like A-shape.

Since I am a skinny jeans fan, mostly I love high waist skinny jeans. So late 70's!
Here is me with my Weekday high waist skinny jeans. Even though My body shape is pear, they fit like a dream and IMO make me look even skinnier...
