i call them henleys , isnt that the right name??, my cousins call it skivvies ( sounds cooler) , actually they were popular in the 70s , but now stores like AE and AF sell them by the truckloads and call them long sleeve tees lol , they arent !

I know it's originally a label, so maybe they made henleys too, but I think skivvies is usually used in the meaning "underwear". :)

According to wikipedia the name henley comes from this type of collarless shirt with a few buttons in the front being the traditional uniform of rowers in the English city of Henley-on-Thames.

:angry:Grr...My friends just got my Seven high waisted jeans for a mere $14!!! No joke. I bought them on shopbop on sale for $104!!!!!

^totally, whenever you wear high waisted jeans and sit down to eat, you feel full much faster? I don't know, i guess you're just more concious of your lower abdomen. it's definitely for the better, haha, i hate to have your gut hanging out when you sit down.

i find that tight high waisted jeans don't look so great on me, because the truth is I have a generous booty. I like to keep that fact on the dl, so if I do high-rise, it's with men's vintage 501's or with a long top over them. My mom has a much flatter butt and she got a pair of Stella McCartney jeans in a light wash that look Farah Fawcett-fabulous on her. Wish I could pull of the look! :( Maybe there is a pair out ther for me...

^^^ maybe thats why everybody was thin in the 70s and 80s.

Yup, its no lie. 2 of my friends got them for $14 and I witnessed it. Macy's (the Impulse section that sells all the high end stuff) is having a big sale! Check it out!

WOW. That is an amazing price!!!
I love High Waisted jeans and i totally agree with what others have said. I am forever pulling up my jeans if they are low rise!

i just ordered a pair of dittos from hautelook.com because they're having a sample sale and i kind of love high-waisted jeans :p

i did a search in this thread and the general consensus seemed to be that dittos are true to size so i'm hoping i ordered the right size..

crossing my fingers because they look like a pair of miss 60 high waisted jeans that i've been wearing/loving for a few years now..
the pair i ordered has a darker wash than my miss 60s..

i really hope they work out..
the detailing on the back makes it seem ok that there are no butt pockets..

i got the "roadhouse" wash..
i'll try to report back on how the sizing works out for me in case anyone is interested..

i am personally more partial to high-waisted, skinny jeans

for some reason, i find them much more flattering

im going to post myself in a pair in a dressing room tomorrow. i am a size 26 in other jeans..esp small fitting jeans and it makes my thighs look fat!
waist small, but ba ba ba da boomb thunder thighs. no, i have no body issues.

i understand, that is why i like the cigarette/straight-leg ones. makes the legs look long and lean.
with wide legs, heels are a must.

change your man. My bf is dying for me to get a lil chunky. as my buddy referred to it, its a bout "more cushion for the pushin'"

lolol..
well my bones are small, so when i have any cushion, i look more like an inflatable couch

I can't stand high-waisted jeans. (For me that means they come above your waist.) I can't stand anything to come above my bellybutton. Just makes me feel.... Literally.
