^ thanks for the pics!
I actually like Keira in those jeans. They're not so flattering in the first outfit, but they look much better with the blazer. A better angle:

Kylie & Hilary pull it off because they are well-proportioned. Keira isn't so lucky.

Ooops, sorry. Somehow the link got broken. I re-uploaded the pic, same source as above.

I like them on her, anyway =) She is a bit of a pear shape, but I think she still pulls them off - especially when she balances them with a blazer like above.

i think she looks great in the above image...
balancing the look with a blazer really makes a world of difference

yeah, very vaguely reminds me of Charlotte Gainsbourg...except Ms. Gainsbourg has a better fit and cut.

...and i know this has been posted before, but really it's one of the best examples of high-waisted jeans.

I love charlottes outfit , i hope H&M comes out with similar stuff in the fall lol. Kieras outfit is cute but the jeans could have been made better , esp around the waist area.

it put like 10 pounds visually onto kelly, kylie, and hillary. once again, it seems the fuller leg does not work well w/ girls with sizeable chests. keira's are just too high. she is suffereing from longcrotch. charlotte looks AMAZING, but she has the ideal body, IMHO, for full legged, high-waisted pants.

maybe its because the bustier women need pants that will elongate and slim their torso?

what kind of body is that (aside from having a smaller chest, and i agree w/ you on that--unless you've got Barbie's WHR highwaists and big boobs will a bit look off--w/ that said Marilyn Monroe looked hot in her highwaist straightlegs)?

knightley would look ok in highwaisted straights if they actually fit her. the fit on the pants she has is not great, the wash sucks too.

i only mean slender (small-breasted) torso. I think pear shaped wopmen who are fuller often look stunning in this still.

But maybe it has more to do with lengthening/shortening the torso. perhaps all those women have short torsos?

total misconception

yeah charlotte has an awesome body for anything. I have seen busty women rock high waist jeans but your right TOO busty can go wrong,so those women should stick to a mid rise lol but at the same time , if you wear a low neck top , you look fine , marylin monroe was a very curvy voluptous woman , and she wore nothing but high waist , so you cant generalize . Another point TFS , has come up with rules regarding body images , so before this turns into another discussion on weight and body , please refrain , I know its hard , but they are younger members who get really impacted by this.

the crotch is way too baggy on keira. that look needs to fit like a glove in the waist area

Not sure about such. From one side they do cover the belly issues lol but then again I prefer low waist jeans...

I have a pair with a skinny leg I got from f21 for about.. 35 bucks? Not bad, I've gotten a lot of compliments on them, but I'm not sure how long I'll actually wear them. I can look for a pic, if anyone is interested..

she looks great. I wish her hair was darker. Her hair sortof clashes w/ the look. It needs jaqueline bissett ala charlie angels hair.

^^^ her hair is fine ,but her top is very teeny bopper , if it was a simple tank or v neck T ,it would look better. Its hard to compete with Charlies angels , they were also super stylish.
