is anyone else inlove with that trench!!! the jeans are nice but i own a pair jusat as nice (courtesy of notify)

actually, even though the inseams are longer, they are not cut for a longer leg. first off, 34 inchs would only work on a 6ftr if she was wearing sandals/ballet flats. even when i do buy a pair that is 37 inches long, the knees are placed on the leg as if i were 5.7, and usually bunch around my knees and lower thigh. that is one reason why widelegs are great. that sort of thing isn't an issue.

maybe expensive brands don't want to cut off a segment of the population? maybe its cuz statitically tall people are wealthier? I think it is similar to high end shoes often being available in odd sizes.

I think its a bit too much generalizing to say that taller people are wealthier...
But I guess you meant that they have gotten better nutrition which makes people grow taller, right? In Finland the most of the girls here have huge feet for some reason..I have tiny ones..yay! I get your point though about the inseam lenght..but my friend who is tall has not found any high waist flare pants that would be long enough for her and she is barely 6 foot tall.

LOL, no one said anything about cutting off tall people. Why not just offer a greater range of inseams in general, the same way every brand does with shoes? Even though there are not that many women who take a size 5, most brands do produce this size, as they do a size 11 (rather large). Inseams should be available in 28 through 38 inches in all brands, if they really want to cover the spectrum of leg lengths comprehensively. No one should be left out, tall, medium, or short.

P.S. The whole wealth/height statistical correlation is negligible and has been hotly debated. There are plenty of poor tall people and plenty of rich short people and every combination in between.

i was referring to statistical data. supposedly people tend to expect taller people for leadership positions. (this was US data) it did not take in account other factors granted.

shirleebee i agree. for the price of denim, we should have inseam choices. men get that. for instance gstar does not come in 36 inseam for womens. it does for men.

oh well...i think enough talk of inseams , this forum is about high waisted jeans , even though its intertwined , I KNOW , but now its getting off topic.

Agreed!
I'm shopping in the Village today, and I'd love another pair of wide-legged high waisted (or even skinny high waisted) jeans, so if I get anything, I will share!

I want something in a very vivid, almost ultraviolet blue. Chloe has a pair like this, but I'm not paying $350 for jeans.

the hottest pants are always over 250 or so.

I often questioni f i should e buying trousers at that point---but whatever. I tried on the chloes, the fit is decent, but the waist does't go in enough considering the higher rise.

H&M has good high waist jeans , I saw this really cool one done in two tones with turnups , it was really nice , they had this really 40s school boy feel to them .

high waisted jeans work well for people who have longer legs than torso's (like me), i thought it would look freakish but i'm pretty happy with the way they fit

These are the Chloes I want! The color is great.
I think they might be too big, though (in the hips).

I have the shirt in the photo, too:

that is really cute. expect the purse. anyone else buy their widelegs a little big so the fabric drapes well?

^ With my body the upper part has to be tight, just like in the 70s but the wide part can start a little above the knees, then its just perfect. Found this pic from the Finnish street style site. This girl has the whole 70s look going on..Love her jeans.

I dig that outfit.. I probably wouldn't wear the belt though, for comfort reasons.. I love hats like that!

i think she really needs to wear heels. she l;ooks a bit stocky in that. also, swap the tshirt for a more slimming vneck.

yeah agree , vnecks look good with high waisted jeans. I guess she was going for all out 40s meets 70s look but i love her tshirt and hat hehe.

I love the Marc Jacobs high waisted jeans. IDK how I would feel about them on a short person like myself though. I guess I will just have to try it out and see!
