Interview Magazine has such a consistently strong design brand that they don't rely on star power and top models to attract readership and to carry an issue.
I'm sort of apathetic towards someone like Mia. She's a beautiful enough woman, but I'm not really interested in her as an actor, nor as an individual to read about her. But with Interview, they're able to brand her collectively into their vision of fashion that she becomes part of the brand for that month, so that readers accept her-- whether they like her or not, as part of that month's fashion offering: She's a part of that month's posse. And Interview's able to do that with every star, top model, whomever... I love that.
Such a visionary-- and easily accessible magazine. And only a handful of fashion magazines are able to accomplish this.
