amethyst_sparkle: Read my post. I stated that I don't think the bags are worth more than what we pay for them. They are worth exactly what we pay for them because they are reps and not authentic. This is my opinion. Maybe you have sold your bags for what you pay for them or close to it, but I see alot listed on bagswap where people practically sell them for half of what they paid for -yes half of what they paid for and in mint condition.
Don't misunderstand me, I am very happy with my NBF bags. I don't mind a price increase if it is like T&D says that they are going to give us a better product along with faster delivery. I do however mind a price increase if it is going to be the same old song of pre-paying and waiting six months for a bag.
as far as re-selling, i'm not too concerned with that. as with anything, once you drive it off the lot, it's only worth x amount to whoever's willing to pay it. we're talking about fake bags here, not diamonds.
the price increase is fishy to me because t&d's QC is worse than ever. they constantly send people the wrong bags, which just seems careless. i understand they get busy, but they don't have half the clientele that jacky and catty have, and their (jacky/catty's) mistakes are far and between. yes, you might get a bad bag, but you are dealing with replica bags, so that's to be expected. plus, their (jacky/catty's) bags cost $120 - $150, not $200+. sometimes i get confused that i'm even paying $200+ for a fake bag!
t&d said the machines would increase the quality of the stitching on the bags, NOT that they will speed up the delivery process. they did say they're making the bags themselves now, but when they let such faulty bags go through (ship wrong orders to wrong countries; ship a bag with a missing stud), i don't know if that's such a good idea. i only say this because with my ame city debacle, the boys told me it was THEM who ships the bags (which surprised me when so many things have been falling through the cracks).
lovedbychanel - your bag is amazing! i was too late for that one! imho, that batch was the BEST for anthra and black. all of those GGH bags have that deliciously matte, thick leather. congrats!
