does anyone else feel that the stitching is completely fine on t&d bags? i don't really see why they're upgrading this. i have compared NBFs to numerous auth bals my sister and i have owned over the past four years and the stitching has always been fine.

i am more concerned with the handles and simple things like a stud not falling off. for my ame city, the ropes aren't completely ame and you can see some gray where the rope wasn't dyed, i guess? it's miniscule, but it does bug me, yet i keep the bag because i do want an ame city with GGH. oh well.

the problem is, i don't want to say "oh well" to a $200+ bag. if you're going to boast your prices are what they are because of quality, then follow through with that quality.

thesiren: I agree with you that the stitching is fine. I think the handles
and studs are more important issues. I have had studs pop out of my bags.
I don't mind paying more if they are going to improve qualitiy and I do hope that they will follow through with this.

lovedbychanel: Congrats on your lovely Anthracite City w/GGH. I have the very same bag with GSH and I love it. It is from the last batch which T&D did and the leather is TDF.

i completely agree with both of your posts! I t&d's bags but their lack of qc and "fibs" about production times have completely turned me off their business.

Stitching has never been brought up as an issue here--as far as i know...why are they suddenly upping the quality on something that there wasn't a problem/weren't complaints about? how about they use that extra $6 to hire someone who'll send the right bags to the right people ON TIME

Not me, I have always thought that stitching is quite a big issue since this can be seen immediately, unlike the bales, which you have to actually grab to see if they have the correct shape and thickness. It is very obvious when I put my auth Bal next to my NBF. Even when they're not side by side, you can still easily tell, at least I can. That's one of the things which makes it easy to recognize an NBF. Even in pics, if they're good and not blurry. I am very happy that they're correcting it, I would be even more happy if they corrected the bales as well

But yes, studs falling off and rippings in bags are totally unacceptable, but I feel that is a different issue, in fact, I'm sad it even is an issue, bags sold for more than $200 should not have this issue.

That's the first thing they should work on.

All these wiggly locks and upside down trees are making me postpone my Alexa purchase. I simply don't want a faulty bag.

true true - i don't mind paying extra if studs, bales and handles were improved. bales look much better than before, but still off compared to fang's bales, which looks very close to auth IMO.

malena - thanks for the amethyst info re: alexa lock - jacky says he has already contacted the factory and the bags will have tighter locks screwed on. just remember to ask him to confirm that the lock is tightly secure and the logo is upright if you decide to order one

Thanx Coco I really want to order from T&D but im not siked about up to 6 month wait. Ive read older post && thats how long some have said they waited for their bags.. To me thats just crazy they should ask for a deposit then ask for the rest when bag is ready to ship not the full amount at first if there going to make people wait months. Another thing with sending wrong bags or not sending a item at all then telling you that you must wait until your next order is not cool. So I will just wait until the bag is ready to ship && get whatever is left over from the pre orders or just wait until a seller list theres on ioff because I wouldnt be able to deal with the bs im not good when it comes to that.. I know that T&D has the best bags but they really need to step it up.

bby yes releasing in my terms means they will be doing those colors once they get the bag, because obviously they don't have it yet. but since they confirmed it with coco, who is sending them the bag when she gets it next month, they told me they will be releasing outremer and sang... when i asked for black.

you know, nothing is set in stone unless u have the bag in hand. BLUEFLY had sold fake chloes before and it's one of the recommended sites for chloe

baby_yorkie - you reminded me of the scandal "balenciaga-gate" - i unknowingly bought some fake bals from bl*efly a few years ago! it was probably the best best bal reps i have ever seen - from leather to stitching to the actual leather smell and feel...but the dead giveaways were the square bales and the colors were off. scary how good some reps can be.

i agree - T&D should just take a deposit and ask for final payment when they are ready to ship. that's how a popular reseller of auth bals does it and she has very happy customers.

For leather quality, T&D has the best. But charging over $200 for a rep, the details had better to be good, and the shipping time should be improved as well. Talking about the bracelet, the authentic one cost is $185 while T&D charges $38. I need to think about that since stitches are extremely important here. I sure don't want to wear something with sloppy stitches on my wrist.

malena - you are the bal expert here, imho. you have a very keen eye. i am inundated with fashion day in, day out, and get bored of looking at details so closely. if you say the stitching/bales are off, i believe you. B)

thesiren / malena / the rest - well stitching has never bugged me.. esp on my dark coloured bags, it's hardly noticable.

What really bugs me are the bales. They are noticable from a feet away, to me! That's how I spot NBFs (and why I came up with the Dom and Tony code words, haha) I also know that the guys will be evasive if I ask them about the future bales. Maybe someone who is closer to them can ask!

No the womans day only comes in one size, it comes with RH and GH, if it's carried by a petite person, it could appear larger There is a mens day as well, similair in body but with a long adjustable strap, only made with RH.
There is the courier, it only comes with RH only, if carried by a very tall person over the shoulder it could (kind of) resemble a day a bit, but the straps are VERY different.. There are pics of all these bags on TPF in there reference thread.

I feel the exact same way! There was a week when I would search these threads to find anything about the Alexa Reg. and now I'm finding myself becoming more and more skeptical. I'm sad to read all of your reviews about the locks and the trees growing upside down but I'm SO thankful that you ladies share this information with the rest of us! I hope Jacky does put more into quality control in the future. Happier customers & less returns... i don't see why he wouldn't!
