Mrs-H- : It's been ages! I think there have been a few girls that have bought Jacky's Mulberry and have been a bit disappointed. Guess it just depends on the batch. One of the British girls, dewy_blueeyes maybe? got a gorgeous Mulberry from Catty (at least I think it was Catty) I can't remember the poster now, maybe it wasn't dewy.....

Valkyrie (and others that asked The MiuMiu is on net-a-porter. They have the Blue one and the size is listed at 17"(43cm)W by 12"(30cm)H by 5"(12cm)D. I think it's a really pretty not-too-in-your-face-bag! Not a lot of hardware and stuff to screw up. Shouldn't be that hard to rep. I like the other quilted-looking bag he has too, the grey one. As for WU, when I pay at the Western Union store, I just tell them it's for example.... $287 US dollars and they will calculate the exchange rate of the day and I will pay in my currency but Jacky will receive the amount is USD. It should be the same whether you are paying in Canadian dollars, Danish Krone or Euros. You don't need to figure anything out, they will do it all for you.

bagalicious, I actually have a T&D sandstone RH work! I love the color SO much but it doesn't get much use because I would stuff it to death and it would be too heavy for my arm/shoulder. I only wish works had a strap... I have to post pictures later though because my cameras battery is dead!

crystal I can't really say anything about the PT since I don't own one but the city is okay. At first I thought the strap was a little too short but after a while I've gotten used to it. Like the ladies said, the PT has a longer strap as well as it is roomier (little longer than a city). But really, whether you get a PT or a city I'm definitely sure that you'll be satisfied!

Hi, sorry to hear this, I would try rubbing alcohol not too much but try it on the inside leather tag first , blot it on if after a little while it seems okay then try it on the ink stain, I would not use hairspray as it contains alcohol and other chemicals as well that could ruin the leather, good luck

I would say a PT if you have loads to carry about and it fits comfortably over the shoulder. But after a while, when the PT has been broken into, the PT kinda looks the same as the city from the way it will slouch. Me being short though, I am now a city gal, the PT kinda makes me look like a sausage esp when I carry it on my arm!

Mrie, haha, a world of difference between a black birkin/black PS1 and a YELLOW alexa..however, I think it would depend on your dress style and what it's for. However I am leaning towards the yellow alexa..

As for the pen ink stain, have you tried baby wipes? Dont rub too hard though and do it in a circular motion. I have tried it before. After you have cleaned it away, use any leather cleaners you have on hand.

thank-you ViaSarah& Kaygirl and if I missed out anyone I am starting to love the black PT GGH but I just wish it had feet perhaps its just in my mind but I feel as though the feet would protect the leather on the bottom of the bag

to the ladies who have used LMB shine restore, I am about to order that product. What I would like to accomplish is to put a protective layer on my bags with a bit of sheen to it, (so I don't have that raw leather look that some of my bags have ) Will I achieve the result l'm looking for? thanks

Hi that is a very good idea. I am not an expert for sure but, I would go to home dep** and ask for a varnish or shellac especially made for metal or better yet an upscale art supply store, that's all I could think of but in past posts I have read that not only does rep fade but auth chips as well actually I saw pics in the other forum it looked quite bad, you can search this specifically on the other forum there is a section on this

mrie- I think all 3 bags are different for sure if your looking for a nice spring bag the yellow alexa sounds great, it's just that it won't go with everything. PS1 is more casual for sure then the birkin, birkin for me is classic but too dressy, unless you are looking for that just my thoughts....

Differences in Jacky's Chanel #1112 Lambskin w GHW

This is going out specially to goddesh & madmurderermud!

As I've mentioned in my previous post, there is a distinct difference in the lambskin used in Jacky's previous batch of Chanel #1112 and the current batch.

Just to do a quick recap, the quilting of the previous batch appears more 'puffy' and has a slight gloss/sheen. The current batch has flat quilts and has a matte finish. The matte finish also means that it scuffs more easily.

Here are the comparison pics.

The Chanel with the brown monster next to/above it is from the previous batch and belongs to me. The other Chanel is my friend's order.

Can anyone tell me which Chanel is more true to the auth? Or is Chanel much like Balenciaga, whereby the lambskin varies every season?

Wow, I haven't been on tfs for quite some time!

For those interested in J's Chanel Chevron bags, I asked J if he will be making anymore colours.
This is his reply:
"WE will make more colors in lambskin , but only this size (jumbo).
I will make ivory , green ,blue , red if possible.Thanks!"

I love the Chervon flaps but J's lambskin chervon flaps doesn't seem to be puffy enough. The alighnment was not great either.
What do you think of his patent ones?

I am loving his beige Miumiu bag though
Does anybody know if the bag on his site is the rep or authentic?

Chanel #2886 Beige Caviar Jumbo w GHW

As for the Beige Chanel Caviar Jumbo I got from Jacky, I would say it resembles Dark Beige. It looks nothing like the Creamy/Light Beige Jumbos that have been posted all over TPF.

Due to the flash Jacky used, the bag looks lighter in his website photo. In real life, the bag is slightly darker in colour/shade. This bag is also lighter (in weight) than my other Caviar Jumbo (in black) from Jacky.

Please refer to the pics below. The pic with the black background was taken by me and is a more accurate reflection of how the bag looks IRL. The other pic is taken from Jacky's site.

I would also like to add that my friend's #1112 Chanel Lambskin came with a slight scuff on the flap (near the Chanel kisslock). I used a little Apple Leather Care lotion on it to smooth out the scuff and to my horror, the cloth (which I was using to buff the bag) turned black too! I believe the lambskin is untreated, hence no gloss/sheen to it. The scuff still can be seen, but is less visible now. Apple Leather Care is certainly not advisable for this bag.
